Women have mastered all kinds of eyeliner. The most famous and popular today include a contour pencil and liquid eyeliner, but other means are often used. The correct choice and technique of applying cosmetics will help you achieve an expressive and inviting look.
Choose the right eyeliner color. Black is a classic as it suits almost any appearance and situation. To create everyday makeup, it is better for blondes to stay on brown, and for brown-haired women – on black and brown.
There are various eyeliner options. It is important that her color is not only in harmony with the shade of the eyes, but also matches the clothes and the image in general. Cool shades (green, gray, blue) are suitable for fair skin and eyes. Brown-haired and brunettes are more suitable for warm options. During the day, bright colors will be inappropriate, but their pastel shades go well with a business suit.
There are three main types of eyeliner – soft pencils (kayals), liquid eyeliners, and eye shadow. If a natural effect can be achieved with shadows or a pencil, then intensive makeup is applied using liquid eyeliner.
The eyeliner technique plays an equally important role in creating an expressive look. For example, an eyeliner is never used on the lower eyelid. Pencil or shadows are suitable for this. Always apply liquid eyeliner only over the eyeshadow, otherwise it can be smudged. Kajal is applied either before applying the eyeshadow, or after it in the form of a clear line.
Start lidding in the middle of the upper eyelid and draw a line to the outer corner of the eye. Then draw a line from the inner corner to the middle of the eyelid. It is important that it runs as close to the lashes as possible. When lifting the lower eyelid, pull it down slightly with your finger and draw a line with a kayal over the base of the eyelashes. Close your eye so the pencil marks the outside of your upper eyelid.
You can visually change or emphasize the shape of the eyes using a liquid eyeliner, a soft pencil and regular shadows.
Dark lines reduce the eyes well, especially if they are outlined to the very corners. You can reduce large eyes by bringing them in with a dark kayal, slightly lengthening the corners.
Make the small eyes larger by extending the top line above the middle of the eyelid and ending exactly at the corner. Light gray or white kajal will also help to visually enlarge the eyes. It is enough to bring them to the inner side of the lower eyelid. By starting the eyeliner line from the central part of the upper eyelid and extending it towards the outer corner, you can visually make your eyes longer and narrower. This effect is also called “cat look” and is often used in evening eye makeup.
