Woman’s Day tells how to feel at one with nature without leaving the bustling city.

An ecological style in the interior is the best option for lovers of a healthy lifestyle, nature and relaxation. It assumes the presence in the house (or room) of objects and accessories made from natural ingredients.

Naturalness is becoming more and more popular every year. And in all areas. Fashion stylists urge the use of light flowing textures and fabrics, make-up artists promote natural make-up, and cosmetologists and trichologists advise to care for skin and hair with products without parabens, sulfates, silicones and other chemicals. Interior designers and decorators are also not lagging behind and are increasingly using eco-materials in their work: wood, stone, glass, clay …

A bit of history: Eco-style interior was first discussed at the end of the XNUMXth century, when the problem of environmental pollution began to be discussed especially openly in the world. It was then that people dreamed of creating a “clean” house in which they wanted to return, in which you feel a connection with nature, with the Earth.

Now it is difficult to say who was the first to come up with and introduce the term “eco-interior”, since natural materials have been used in home furnishing since ancient times. But there are suggestions that the Scandinavians and the Japanese were among the first to return to their original existence.

Incidentally, do not confuse eco-style with organic. The first assumes the presence of furniture made from natural materials, the second is just an imitation of natural forms.

Eco-style interior assumes the presence of free space and light… So try not to clutter the room with unnecessary items and hang dense tulle on the windows.

The color scheme should be dominated by light natural tones.: beige, sand, brown, gray, as well as shades of earth, wood, stone. Sky blue and grassy greens are great accents.

Excellent room decoration there will be live plants and flowers, as well as an aquarium with fish, a cage with parrots. And if possible, you can install a fireplace.

In the kitchen and dining room, use not only furniture and fabrics made from natural materials, but also tableware. Now in stores there is a huge number of ceramics, bamboo, even natural stone sets!

In the bedroom, be sure to use textiles and bedding made of cotton, linen, silk, bamboo fiber. Knitted blankets and carpets will also help create coziness.

In the bathroom, you can also use objects made from natural materials: copper, marble, granite, onyx. Cabinets, shelves and other accessories can be made of wood. And don’t forget about 100% natural terry towels!

Use wicker baskets, firewood, canvases in wooden frames, stones, shells as decorative elements … And if space permits, for example, you can use the most ordinary bicycle as a decor (see ideas on the link)! In general, it all depends on your imagination.
