How to lose weight, or better to lose weight quickly? There are many ways: from grueling exercise to all kinds of diets. But all methods will be effective only if strict rules are followed. And if you have never played sports, then the first exercises in the gym should be started under the guidance of a trainer, and if you are trying a new diet, then do not forget to familiarize yourself with its contraindications and consult a doctor. Otherwise, the results of self-weight loss may backfire on you: you can cause serious harm to the body! And it’s good if you can restore your health within a reasonable time, but what if you get sickness for life?

“First you need to understand whether you really need to lose weight,” says Marina Kopytko, Chief Nutritionist of the Weight Factor Clinic of Healthy Nutrition, Ph.D. “For example, sometimes it seems to you that you have gained weight, but in fact it is not fat, but excess fluid in the body.” So the centimeter and the scales should not be an indicator of extra pounds for you. “To determine if you have excess fat that you need to get rid of, see your doctor and diagnose your health condition,” continues Marina Kopytko. In any case, diagnoses will come in handy. Firstly, you need to check your health regularly, and secondly, if you still have to lose weight before changing your diet, a blood test and a list of existing and former diseases will not be superfluous. Any diet, no matter how good it is for you, is stressful for the body: you are changing your typical lifestyle.

How to accustom yourself to proper nutrition?

Eating right is not as easy as it seems

If you still have extra pounds, Marina Kopytko recommends doing a bioimpedance analysis of body composition in order to calculate the ratio of water, fat and muscle mass. With these indications, you must consult a dietitian. It will help you draw the correct conclusions from the numbers obtained and your body parameters. The latter include your height, weight, gender, age, number of pregnancies.

Of course, it may seem that losing weight is now as easy as shelling pears. But no matter how it is! Eating a healthy diet every day (especially in the first couple of weeks) can be very difficult. Many break down and, abandoning the idea of ​​losing weight, return to their original accustomed lifestyle. To prevent this from happening, Marina Kopytko recommends starting a “food diary” in which you need to write down everything you eat during the day. “The notes you make will allow you to analyze your nutrition and draw conclusions. For example, at what moments the likelihood of breakdowns is high: when you are nervous, bored, with the onset of evening, or maybe something else, ”says Marina Kopytko. Determining the problem of avoiding healthy food or unsaturation after meals is a step towards solving it! And it is even more effective to regularly show this diary to a nutritionist, it is much easier to solve the problem with the help of a specialist. 

The main mistakes in losing weight

Many, adhering to the rules of a healthy diet, completely forget about other important points. For example, one of the most common is fluid intake. Water for weight loss is needed no less than the right food: it helps in the breakdown of fats, getting rid of toxins, and is also very beneficial for the skin (as you know, dehydrated skin can become a source of age-related wrinkles on the face). To maintain the proper functioning of the body, you need to drink at least one and a half liters of water per day (provided that you do not have any contraindications). But it is worth remembering that this volume does not include coffee, tea, fruit drink, soda and other drinks!

Forget the “don’t eat after six” rule. It only works on one condition: if you go to bed at nine o’clock in the evening. Experienced nutritionists assure that the optimal time for the last meal is four hours before bedtime. Otherwise, you will get the opposite effect: with a long abstinence from food during the waking period, the body begins to accumulate fats.

In the rhythm of the metropolis, skipping meals is a common problem. But if you want to lose weight, and lose weight without harm to health, then this story should bypass you. The fact is that the same effect works here as “do not eat after six”. Skipping meals puts your body under stress. As a result, you start not to lose weight, but to get fat.

Of course, just like in diet and sports, regularity is also important here. Perhaps you will notice positive changes in the figure after the first procedure, but, unfortunately, the result will not last long.

The most famous beauty slimming program is body wrap. It is of two types: cold and hot. The first one is absolutely safe and painless and suits absolutely everyone. But with the second, you need to be extremely careful, it is contraindicated in diseases of the thyroid gland. By the way, one of the most beloved wraps by many women is “chocolate”. The smell of chocolate not only improves mood for a long time, but, according to nutritionists, suppresses appetite!

Another of the procedures that you should pay attention to is massage. Among the types that allow you to lose weight in a fairly short time, two can be distinguished – lymphatic drainage and anti-cellulite. The specialist will be able to determine which one is right for you. But again, regularity is important here. Experts recommend doing massage courses twice a week, and after 10-12 procedures, you can take one session per week to maintain the achieved result.

I think one of the most effective types of massage is vacuum (myostimulation). It is carried out using a special apparatus and is designed to work with problem areas. Its effect is to improve the blood supply to cells, which, in turn, gives the effect of fat breakdown. But it is worth remembering that this program has many contraindications.

And some more popular hardware programs – mesotherapy, pressotherapy, LPG, myostimulation. Experts assure that these programs are the most effective and suitable for everyone. The only drawback is that a procedure in a good spa is not cheap, and for an effective result, you need to complete a course of 10 to 20 procedures within three weeks.
