Didactic games on traffic rules: goals, traffic rules for children

It is necessary to teach kids the rules of the road from an early age. In order for the training to be as effective as possible, it must take place in a playful way.

Purpose of teaching the rules of the road

Despite the fact that preschool children cross the road accompanied by their parents, it is during this period that habits are formed that remain in the future. The kid should already know why a zebra, a traffic light is needed, which signal can be used to cross the road, and when it is necessary to stand on the side of the road.

On sale there are sets of didactic games for traffic rules

At an early stage, training looks like this:

  • Develop attention and ability to react to color, activate thinking. To complete the assignment, it is desirable to form a group of 3 or more children. Each is given a paper wheel in red, green, or yellow. An adult has colored circles in the same shades. When he raises a signal of a certain color, kids with similar rudders run out. The guys imitate driving a car. After a signal from an adult, they return to the garage.
  • Learn the purpose of the traffic light and its color. You will need a mock-up of a traffic light and mugs of yellow, red and green shades, which you need to distribute to the kids. When an adult switches a traffic light, the guys should show which color came on and tell what it means.
  • Learn the main groups of road signs – warning and prohibiting. You will need a model of the clock on which they are depicted. You need to move the clock hand to the sign and talk about it.

It is necessary to explain to the children why it is so important to adhere to traffic rules, to teach them to independently navigate on the road. The kid should know road symbols and their meaning, understand the rules of behavior for pedestrians and drivers.

The essence of the game is to move around the city (steps are determined using a cube), observing the rules of movement.
  • “Rush hour”. The essence of the game is to get to the desired point, separate passengers without violating traffic rules, and also solve difficult situations that have arisen. The winner is the one who quickly reached the finish line without violations.

The studied material can be consolidated using the game “Think and guess.” An adult should ask questions about traffic rules, and the guys should answer them. Prizes can be given to the winners. This will stimulate the little ones to assimilate the information.
