Why does cystitis occur during pregnancy?
Cystitis is caused by various reasons, especially an infectious form of the disease, which is provoked by bacteria. The main causative agent of bladder inflammation in this form is Escherichia coli. The urethra in women is short and close to the anus. Bacteria enter the genitourinary system when personal hygiene is not observed or is improperly observed.
Also, the entry of microbes into the body and the development of the inflammatory process is facilitated by sexual intercourse.
Much more rare non-infectious cystitis, which are divided into allergic, medicinal, thermal.
The first form of the disease develops in the first trimester of pregnancy in women who are overly sensitive to the components of various food and cosmetic products. The dosage form occurs due to irritation of the bladder mucosa with certain medications. The thermal form is caused when the mucous membrane is exposed to hot liquids or as a result of hypothermia.
