General description of the disease

Colpitis is a female sexual disease in which there is an inflammatory process in the vaginal mucosa. In another way, colpitis is called vaginitis.

The causes of colpitis:

  • personal hygiene rules are regularly violated;
  • violation of the vaginal microflora, which occurs due to microorganisms (chlamydia, mycoplasma, staphylococci, streptococci, Trichomonas, haemophilus influenzae; inflammation can be of a mixed type, combining several microbes at the same time), due to the herpes virus;
  • constant change and alternation of sexual partners;
  • sexually transmitted infections;
  • various kinds of damage to the vagina (thermal, mechanical, chemical injuries);
  • disturbances in the work of the endocrine system, which can occur due to menopause, excess weight, diabetes mellitus, ovarian diseases of various etiologies;
  • an abortion performed outside the walls of the hospital;
  • douching is carried out in the wrong way;
  • introduction of foreign objects into the vagina;
  • weak immunity;
  • anatomical abnormalities (for example, a drooping uterine wall)
  • genital trauma;
  • senile atrophy, vascular disorders, due to which the blood supply and nutrition of the uterine membrane is disrupted;
  • allergy to vaginal suppositories, ointments, condoms;
  • taking antibiotics for a long time.

Colpitis symptoms:

Traditional medicine for colpitis:

  • If there is no discharge and mucus, and the patient feels dryness in the vagina, it must be lubricated with sea buckthorn oil after taking a bath before going to bed.
  • Take in the same amount chopped valerian root, nettle leaves and lemon balm, mix well. A liter of boiling water will require 40 grams of collection. Insist the broth in a thermos all night, drink a quarter of a glass 20 minutes before meals. Duration of admission should be at least two months.
  • A good remedy for any colpitis (even during pregnancy) is a decoction of the thigh. For 100 milliliters of water, take 5 grams of grass, boil for 15 minutes. Leave to infuse for 8 hours. Filtered. Add 1/3 tablespoon of honey to the resulting broth. Reception should be carried out every 2 hours, a single dosage – 1 tablespoon.
  • If a woman suffers from severe burning and itching, a decoction of St. John’s wort (perforated) and centaury (common) will help. To prepare it, you will need 1 spoonful (tablespoon) of each herb. Pour it over with 200 milliliters of cold, filtered water, let it boil over low heat and insist for 20 minutes. On the day you need to take 3-4 tablespoons of broth before meals (at one meal – one tablespoon).
  • In addition to herbal decoctions, you need to take medicinal baths and do douching (washing) of the vagina. The water temperature should not be hot (so as not to burn the walls of the uterus), 33-34 degrees Celsius is considered permissible. Well help in the treatment of baths and enemas with decoctions of nettle, chamomile, sea buckthorn, rose hips, oak bark, cinquefoil goose, with sage leaves, yarrow and rosemary, celandine, calendula flowers. It is better to do douching in the morning and in the evening, take baths before bedtime and last no more than 20-30 minutes.
