Children’s rights

The right to be loved

It is sometimes good to recall the obvious. To be loved, to be protected and accompanied is a right for children and a duty for parents. From birth, Baby also has the right to a name and a nationality. And then, it is out of the question to practice any discrimination between the children themselves, whether between girls and boys, or between so-called “normal” children and disabled children.

The International Convention on the Rights of the Child also wants to preserve the family link. Unless a court decision is made in the interest of the little one, it plans not to separate the children from their parents. The signatory states of the Convention are also working to facilitate the reunification of parents and children. And, in the event that the child has no family, the law provides for alternative care, with regulated adoption procedures.

No to abuse!

When a child is in danger, legislative, administrative, social and educational measures can be taken to ensure his safety.

The International Convention on the Rights of the Child protects young and old against:

– physical (blows, wounds, etc.) and mental (insults, humiliation, threats, marginalization, etc.) brutality;

– neglect (lack of care, hygiene, comfort, education, poor diet, etc.);

– violence ;

– abandonment;

– pick up ;

– exploitation and sexual violence (rape, touching, prostitution);

– their involvement in the production, trafficking and illicit use of drugs;

– work that could harm their education, health or well-being.

You are not alone in the face of abuse!
