Children’s reins or harness – the norm or bust

“Aspen is a wild child. Really wild. The child who, after the city fair, is in every feed on Facebook, who climbs into the tiger’s cage in the zoo, rushes across the road, jumps into the river at Disneyland. Therefore, when we are going somewhere, the harness is the first thing I take with me, ”writes on his page on Facebook Clint Edwards.

The father understands very well that they will look askance at his family: “Some are so impudent that they wonder if Aspen really needs a leash.” But Clint is convinced that the harness is the lesser of evils.

The fact is that Aspen, at more than two years old, really was a wild child, whose security center was completely disabled.

“We just have to do it for the sake of her own safety. I, you know, have an interest in keeping my child alive and well, ”writes Clint.

Dive off the trail into the thicket? Easily. Get into the river? No problem. Aspen does not take seriously the fact that there are dangerous things in the world. She is a discoverer, explorer and savage.

“All children are like that. But some are more and some are less. It was enough to hold our middle daughter by the hand. But Aspen will break free, and we will search for her together with the security service, and we will find her wandering among the cars in the parking lot. Therefore, I’d rather endure sidelong glances and condemning remarks than go crazy with panic or even be afraid to take it with me, ”explains the father.

Aspen is now three and a half years old and she finally stopped being wild. The harness is no longer necessary. And Clint Edwards’ post on the reins of children went viral: it was shared over 4500 times.
