Aqua Pole Dance: the new trendy sport
Even if it means playing sports, we might as well find a discipline that amuses us. After zumba, we present to you the Aqua Pole Dance. But what is it exactly? As its name suggests, this sport takes the figures of pole dance but in water, which makes the exercise more accessible. Like aquabiking, this sport activity is very effective in reshaping your body. We tell you everything.
How should we proceed ?
What exactly is this sport? This sport is practiced in a swimming pool and the lessons are done with a coach. Each participant has a pole dance bar in front of him and reproduces the figures, movements and other acrobatics of the coach. Pole dancing is very complicated for amateurs, but in the water your body will weigh only a third of its weight, so the different sequences will be easier to perform.
But be careful, this does not mean that this sport is not physical. If you don’t like dancing and you are absolutely not flexible, this sport is not for you. On the other hand, if you loved zumba, now is the time to try this new discipline. You will be invited to use the muscles of the arms and legs to perform graceful and elegant figures.
To help and stimulate you, we will put you in a lively background and you will learn choreography that you will improve during the course. You will start with the cupid, the spin or the flag and the more skillful you are, the more you will be able to perform more difficult tricks like floorwork.
What impact on the silhouette?
This sport is quite complete. It will allow you to build muscles in different parts of your body. You will strengthen your arms and legs and strengthen your core belt. And thanks to the resistance of the water, you will make the cellulite stored in the thighs, buttocks or on the hips disappear more quickly.
The sequence of figures will also allow you to work your cardio and your flexibility with minimal risk of injury, since you will be in the water. And like all water sports, you will refine your figure faster because you will lose calories faster than on a bike.
Who can practice this sport?
The question that comes to mind is whether this sporting activity is accessible to everyone and the answer is yes. Anyone can practice this sport, but it is obvious that depending on the flexibility and level of the participants, the coach will adapt and start smoothly for those who fear they will not get there. Whatever your age, you can perform figures in water and think of yourself as a cabaret artist.
Classes last 45 minutes on average. If it’s too hard for you the first few times, you can ask to slow down. What is needed is to train regularly enough (once or twice a week) to progress and to gain in endurance and flexibility.
Where can we make it?
It is clear that not all swimming pools offer this activity to its customers. To find out if the pools near you have the necessary equipment and offer lessons, just call them.
