General description of the disease
Alcoholism is a disease characterized by both psychological and physical dependence on alcohol or alcohol.
Alcoholism is characterized by:
- uncontrollable amount of alcoholic beverages drunk;
- a constant increase in the amount of alcohol consumed to achieve euphoria;
- there is no gag reflex when drinking large doses of alcoholic beverages;
- hangover syndrome;
- memory lapses for some actions, activities that were performed under the influence of alcohol;
- damage to all internal organs with toxins.
Reasons for starting to abuse alcohol:
- 1 a person cannot relax without alcohol;
- 2 constant control by family and friends;
- 3 lack of attention, love, or, conversely, excess;
- 4 weak willpower;
- 5 unrealized talents;
- 6 poor family environment.
There are such stages of alcoholism:
- zero stage (prodrome) – there is no illness yet, a person simply drinks alcohol, but can easily give up alcohol (household alcoholism, at the level of drinking with friends, at a party, for a holiday, but if a person starts daily drinking, then the first stage will begin in about half of the year);
- first stage – begins with an increase in doses and an interval between drinks (the patient drinks at dinner, on weekends, after work, then even at night and on the way), at this time interest in life disappears, alcohol becomes prerogative in relation to other matters, failures are observed in memory (if the patient does not take alcohol for some time, then the addiction decreases, but it is only worth drinking again – everything starts anew);
- second stage – increased endurance to alcohol, even after taking a small amount, the patient loses the ability to control doses, in the morning feeling unwell, hangover, until “hangover”;
- third stage – the stage of hard drinking, for which a characteristic decrease in resistance to intoxication, alcohol is consumed daily and in large doses, the patient has problems with the psyche, liver, stomach, heart, etc.
Disorders that occur with the body when drinking alcohol:
- 1 nervous disorders;
- 2 the speed and rationality of thinking is noticeably reduced;
- 3 the level of intelligence falls;
- 4 there are problems with the functioning of various organs;
- 5 vitamin deficiency occurs and, as a result, a very low and weak immunity;
- 6 retarded actions.
Useful foods for alcoholism
Since with alcohol dependence in the body there is a large deficiency of minerals and vitamins, it is necessary in the diet to focus on their replenishment and cleansing the body of toxins that get there with alcohol.
To this end, you need to add to your diet:
- fermented milk and dairy products, as well as porridge cooked on them (rice milk is especially effective);
- honey and its by-products;
- Bay leaf;
- garlic;
- pumpkin;
- Rowan;
- cranberries;
- cranberry;
- apricots;
- sea buckthorn;
- citrus fruits and all vegetables and fruits are yellow;
- sauerkraut and seaweed;
- all greens;
- nuts;
- eggs;
- lean meat;
- green tea;
- decoctions of herbs.
You should drink at least one and a half liters of water daily (always purified).
Traditional medicine for alcoholism
A combination of proper nutrition and medicinal herbs is the most effective way to treat the disease.
Treatment should start with the use of the following collection of herbs that cleanse the body:
- 1 you need to take 50 grams of wormwood, St. John’s wort, mint (pepper), yarrow;
- 2 25 grams of angelica and juniper roots (berries). Mix. Pour one tablespoon of the mixture with 1 liter of hot water and leave for 20 minutes. Drink this infusion several times, 250 milliliters each instead of tea.
The list of herbs and fruits that will help get rid of addiction by “turning away” from alcohol:
- puppeteer (hellebore);
- butterbur;
- clefthoof (European);
- baranec;
- unripe fruits of anise;
- Birch buds;
- barberry;
- acorns;
- Walnut;
- green tea;
- capsicum red pepper;
- plaun;
- bearberry;
- thyme;
- maral root;
- hellebore root;
- thyme;
- sorrel;
- apples;
- thistle.
These herbs will help induce vomiting, and the patient will be sure that he is sick from vodka or other alcohol, which will help ward off drunkenness.
Treatment for alcoholism is carried out in two directions:
- 1 the first is to evoke disgust and dislike of alcohol in the patient (for this, the above herbs are added to the food or the tincture is given to drink), you should carefully monitor the dosages, otherwise there may be severe poisoning with fatal outcomes (after all, half of the herbs, in addition to medicinal properties, also have poisonous abilities );
- 2 fortifying and calming therapy (this includes decoctions of rose hips, raspberries, viburnum, chamomile, nettle, lemon balm and mint).
Dangerous and harmful products for alcoholism
To combat alcoholism, it is worth giving up foods such as caffeinated foods:
- coffee;
- chocolate;
- cocoa;
- energy;
- pepsi, coca-cola;
- medications with caffeine.
Why? Because caffeine only increases alcohol cravings. It is also very important to stop smoking for the patient.
To get better results, you need to give up for a while from pomegranates, buckwheat porridge, liver (that is, foods that contain iron).
