Bronchitis is a disease that is often the result of a cold. One of its symptoms is coughing and the production of a large amount of mucus. Coughing up mucus is necessary because its presence in the bronchi reduces their patency. This is where ACC Optima comes in handy.
ACC Optima – properties and action
ACC Optima effervescent tablets are used to treat bronchitis that may result from a cold. The main component of the drug is acetylcysteine, a derivative of the amino acid cysteine. This active substance acts on the bronchial secretion, reducing its viscosity and facilitating expectoration. In one ACC optima tablet there are 600 mg of acetylcysteine.
Therefore, ACC Optima works by:
- clearing the airways;
- facilitating expectoration;

How is ACC Optima used?

The drug is in the form of effervescent tablets that dissolve in water (half a glass of liquid), so it is easy to apply. The product is taken after eating. The daily dose is one tablet dissolved in water. Such a portion should be take once a day, at least 4 hours before bedtimeso that the need to expectorate the mucus does not disturb the night rest.
ACC Optima tablets should not be dissolved in solutions that contain other medicines.
ACC Optima is not intended for children under the age of 14. When using the drug without a doctor’s recommendation it should not be taken for more than 4-5 days. You should not forget to consume large amounts of fluids during this time, which will additionally liquefy the secretion.
