7 skin care mistakes: what you did wrong

If you think that flawless skin is the result of financial investment or extra effort, get ready to discover. All you need to do is correct a few mistakes in care. Let’s figure out what you did wrong.

Lack of regular care

The most common mistake. There are girls who can hang out in the salon all day before an important event, but the rest of the time they replace the moisturizer with foundation, and generally ignore the night care.

So, there are no miracles. And not a single cosmetologist will help if you forget about the three rules of care:

  • regularity;

  • A complex approach;

  • conformity of cosmetics to the type and problems of the skin.

Winter without SPF

Snow reflects about 80% of the sun’s rays. Therefore, if you decide to play snowballs on a clear winter day or go skiing or snowboarding, then keep in mind: your face will tan (or rather, burn) no worse than on the beach. So include a product with an SPF of at least 30 in your winter care.

The formula should be creamy: light water-based fluids can cause irritation in frosty weather.

Face cream Top Secrets CC, SPF 35, Yves Saint Laurent Corrects skin tone and hides minor imperfections, as well as protects against the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation.

Teint Miracle foundation, SPF 15, Lancôme perfectly masks skin imperfections, cares for it, provides natural radiance.

Removing makeup with a cleansing gel (or worse, soap)

Cosmetologists are sure: the best makeup remover is micellar water. But soap dries, tightens and injures the skin. Let the evening cleansing be like this:

  1. micellar water or biphasic makeup remover;

  2. gel or foam for washing;

  3. tonic.

Micellar water Ultra Reactive, La Roche-Posay gently removes make-up and impurities, moisturizes the skin.

Vitamin tonic for the face soothing “Basic care, Rose water”, Garnier gently removes makeup, relieves irritation, has an anti-stress effect.

Frequent scrub use

Deep cleansing products with abrasive particles should not be used too often. Otherwise, you can get irritation, dryness, peeling, rashes.

  1. Exfoliate for oily skin 2-3 times a week.

  2. For dry skin, use a scrub once every 7 or 10 days.

  3. In winter, the skin should be exfoliated less frequently and with milder products.

Infinite Freshness Cleansing Facial Scrub, L’Oréal Paris mattifies the skin, renewing and moisturizing it.

Exfoliating scrub against acne and blackheads “Clean Skin Active”, Garnier deeply cleanses the skin, preventing the appearance of acne and blackheads.

Refusal of store cosmetics

“Why buy cosmetics when you can make them yourself?” many argue. And knead peelings from oatmeal and masks based on egg yolk. However, homemade cosmetics prepared according to grandmother’s recipes can do more harm than good. Given its natural composition and short shelf life, you risk causing:

  • allergic reactions;

  • irritation;

  • peeling.

Not to mention the fact that the effectiveness of such funds raises questions.

Applying a night cream right before bed

In order for night care products to realize their full moisturizing-repairing potential, apply them as at least 30 minutes, and preferably 1-1,5 hours before bedtime. If the skin is aging, the ideal evening care should consist of cleansing, serum and cream.

Balm for enhanced night recovery Skin Best Night, Biotherm evens out the relief of the skin, moisturizes it and gives it a natural glow.

Compensating complex, night cream-care for skin during menopause Neovadiol, Vichy stimulates skin regeneration, smoothes wrinkles.

Abuse of face masks

Applying masks several times a day is unlikely to come to mind. But many people like to leave it on their face longer than the time indicated in the instructions – in the hope of getting more useful substances. It’s pointless to count on it.

The skin will absorb everything necessary for the 10-30 minutes allotted for the session. Increasing the application time can lead to overdrying of the skin (in the case of clay masks) or irritation.

Exceptions are special instructions in the instructions (for example, “massage the rest of the texture into the skin”) and special night masks that do not need to be washed off.

Sheet mask “Moisturizing + Aquabomb”, Garnier tones and hydrates the skin.

Facial mask “Magic clay. Detox and glow” with charcoal, L’Oréal Paris draws out impurities from the pores, absorbs excess sebum, deeply cleanses.
