Zucchini Iskander F1

Iskander F1 zucchini will be a pleasant discovery for those gardeners who have not yet planted it on their plots. This variety of zucchini is distinguished not only by its taste and productivity, but also by its absolute undemanding care.

Characteristics of a variety

Zucchini Iskander is an early hybrid variety of Dutch selection. Zucchini of this hybrid are able to tie even at low temperatures. Their first harvest can be harvested in 45-50 days. Zucchini in their appearance is unremarkable. The cylindrical fruits have an average length of up to 20 cm and a weight of up to 600 grams. Their thin waxy skin of pale green color is covered with barely noticeable light streaks and specks. The delicate white pulp of the fruit has excellent taste characteristics.

Advice! In order for the shape of the zucchini not to deform as it grows, you need to tie up the bushes.

Compact bushes of the hybrid variety Iskander are distinguished by their yield. Each of them is able to tie up to 17 kg of fruit. It occupies a leading position in terms of fruiting period. You can harvest from its bushes until the first autumn frosts. In addition, Iskander F1 is not afraid of powdery mildew and anthracosis.

Recommendations for growing

The only thing you should pay attention to when choosing this variety is the composition of the soil. It should be light and have a neutral level of acidity. The best predecessors for him would be:

  • potato;
  • radish;
  • bow.
Important! Many sources indicate that zucchini cannot be planted in one place for several years in a row. This is true only if the land is not fertilized.

Plants will draw useful substances out of it, and when planted next year, the land will be poor. If you fertilize the squash plot every year, then there will be no problems with planting.

Bushes of this hybrid can be grown in two ways:

  1. Through seedlings, they are grown a month before planting in the ground, that is, in April.
  2. Landing immediately in open ground. At the same time, zucchini seeds should be embedded in the soil in May – June to a depth of 5 cm. To increase germination, it is better to cover the seeds with a film at first.

It responds well to loosening the soil. It should be done no more than 2 times a week. Harvesting can begin from the end of June as the fruits ripen.

I don’t really like planting hybrids because you can’t collect seeds from them. And then I decided to try the Iskander F1 zucchini. Reviews about him were very good. There were only 5 seeds in the bag – for the sample it was the most, but, in general, not enough. I planted them along with other seeds immediately in the garden. Everything has risen! Neat bushes quickly formed and fruits began to set. The variety amazed me with its yield. I even had to give it away, because in addition to it, I planted other varieties. The fruits are excellent in taste, very tender. Definitely, I will take more!

I have been planting it for 5 years already. It bears fruit well and does not require special care. So many fruits grow that we have to distribute them to our neighbors. I recommend.
