Zoxinat is used in the treatment and prevention of scalp dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis and tinea versicolor. The preparation is intended for external use on the hair. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before use. Zoxinat is an over-the-counter medicated shampoo.

Zoxinat – indications and dosage

Zoxinat is a shampoo used in the treatment and prevention of scalp dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis and tinea versicolor.

Dosage

  1. Treatment and prevention of scalp dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis. Healing 2 × / week. for 2-4 weeks, prophylactically once every 2 weeks
  2. Treatment and prevention of tinea versicolor. Treatment 1 × / d for 5 days, prophylactically before the summer period 1 × / d for 3 days.

Apply Zoxinat to wet hair, create a lather, leave for approx. 5 minutes and rinse.

Zoxinat and contraindications

A contraindication to the use of Zoxinat is allergy to any component of the preparation.

Zoxinat – warnings

  1. The drug is for external use only.
  2. Avoid contact of Zoxinat shampoo with the eyes.
  3. If Zoxinat comes into contact with the eyes, rinse them with plenty of water.
  4. If a hypersensitivity reaction (redness or itching of the skin) occurs, discontinue use of the preparation and consult a physician.
  5. Scalp dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis are often accompanied by increased hair loss, which may be exacerbated by the use of shampoo.
  6. There are no data on the safety and effectiveness of the drug in children.
  7. Zoxinat contains cochineal red which may cause allergic reactions.
  8. Before using the preparation during pregnancy or breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted. The preparation can be used during this period if, according to the doctor, it is absolutely necessary.

Zoxinat – interactions

Skin irritation may occur if Zoxinat is used immediately after long-term topical use of corticosteroids. Inform your doctor about all recently taken preparations.

Zoxinat – side effects

Local skin irritation may occur: itching, burning and contact dermatitis, oily or dry hair.
