Zineryt is a powder and solvent for making a solution to be applied to the skin. The package contains 1 bottle with powder and 1 bottle with solvent for 30 ml of solution and an applicator.

Keep Zineryt out of the sight and reach of children. It should not be stored above 25 degrees Celsius.

Zineryite is a preparation consisting of two main active substances. These are erythromycin and zinc acetate.

Let’s take a closer look at erythromycin. It is a macrolide antibiotic, which means that it belongs to the group of drugs with a bacteriostatic effect. Thus, the mechanism of action of erythromycin is to inhibit protein biosynthesis in bacterial cells by binding to the ribosomal subunit and interfering with protein chain elongation. Erythromycin has a broad spectrum of activity, i.e. it is active against many species of bacteria.

Erythromycin is highly bacteriostatic na Streptococcus spp, Listeria monocytogenes, Mycoplasma pneumoniae, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Legionella pneumophila, Neisseria spp., Ureaplasma urealyticum, Chlamydia spp., Treponema pallidum, some anaerobic bacteria. Strains show a variable sensitivity to erythromycin Staphylococcus spp. and Haemophilus influenzae. Erythromycin, on the other hand, has no effect on Pseudomonas aeruginosa and chopsticks Enterobacteriaceae. It is cross-resistant with lincomycin and clindamycin.

The second ingredient in Zineryt is zinc in the form of zinc acetate. Zinc is a trace element that plays a very important role in cell metabolism and the stabilization of cell membranes. Always use Zineryt exactly as described in the package leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

The correct dosage of Zineryt is as follows:

1. the drug should be applied to the affected areas of the skin twice a day for 2 to 10 weeks;
2. if the patient does not notice any improvement, it is necessary to contact a doctor;
3. if the doctor determines that the bacteria are resistant to the drug, treatment must be stopped for 2 months.

Zineryt should be applied to the entire face or other diseased areas, using 0,5 ml of the solution each time.

When using Zineryt, it is very important that the solution is properly prepared. To do this, follow the step-by-step instructions in the leaflet:

1. after removing the caps, pour the contents of the solvent bottle into the powder bottle;
2. cap the bottle containing the powder and solvent and mix the contents by shaking the bottle for about a minute;
3. remove the cap from the bottle with the resulting solution;
4. place the applicator in the neck of the bottle with the solution, pushing it firmly until it stops;
5. close the bottle with an applicator;
6. after preparing the solution, turn the bottle with the applicator upside down and apply the medicine to the affected area of ​​the skin, moving the applicator over it. The amount of drug solution flowing out of the bottle is controlled by increasing or decreasing the force of the applicator pressing against the skin.

Zineryt, like any other drug, may cause side effects in patients. It is important to report any suspected adverse reactions after authorization of the medicinal product so that the benefit / risk balance of the medicinal product can be monitored.
