Zincas is a preparation used in zinc deficiency. The active substance of the drug is zinc hydrogen aspartate, which plays a very important role in the human body. It produces and stores insulin, produces growth hormone, and has an impact on the work of the ovaries and testes. Do not use the preparation during pregnancy and breastfeeding. The drug is in the form of tablets for oral administration and is available without a prescription.

Indications for taking the drug Zincas

Zinacas is recommended to supplement zinc deficiency.

Dosage

Zincas is in the form of tablets to be taken by mouth. The preparation should be taken after a meal.

  1. Kids. Up to 5 years 1 tablet / day, 5-15. rż. 2 tabl./d.
  2. Adults and adolescents after 15 years of age 1 tablet 3 × / d.

Zincas and contraindications

Contraindications to taking Zincas are:

  1. kidney failure
  2. should not be used in parallel with tetracyclines, acetylsalicylic acid, ibuprofen, indomethacin, thiazide diuretics, corticosteroids, calcium compounds, chelating substances,
  3. should not be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Zincas – warnings

  1. Young children should not be given the whole Zincas tablets.
  2. Zinca administered in more than the recommended dose may have a laxative effect.
  3. People with hereditary problems of fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency should not take this medicinal product.
  4. There is no information on the harmful effect of the preparation on the ability to drive motor vehicles.
  5. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should consult a doctor before taking the drug.
  6. Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking, even those obtained without a prescription.

Zincas and other substances

  1. Compounds of calcium, iron, copper, chelating substances (e.g. penicillamine), and a milk diet reduce the absorption of zinc.
  2. The zinc contained in Zincas reduces the absorption of tetracycline and copper antibiotics.

Zincas – side effects

Larger doses of Zincas can cause:

  1. nausea,
  2. stomach pain,
  3. diarrhea
  4. a metallic taste in the mouth
  5. Headache,
  6. long-term use can lead to copper deficiency and anemia.
