A day is as much as 16 free hours. It often happens that the day has passed, but it is difficult to remember what you have done during this time. It is quite possible that you have been working closely all this time and being distracted only by the road, lunch and other important matters, but another picture often happens: here you are distracted, there you chat, then, like, for five minutes on the Internet, and half an hour has passed — and half a day lost.

It would be great to know exactly how the day went. Where each hour was invested and how it worked for your goals. There is an easy way to do this, you will need either a notepad or open a word file.​​​​​​​​

At the Distance at the University of Practical Psychology we use two methods:

  • easy to start
  • more detailed to continue

At first, the method will be really simple.

  • take a timer (handy on the phone)
  • set a timer for one hour
  • as soon as the timer rings — mentally note to yourself what you are doing now
