Vaccinations against COVID-19 in Poland. Second dose at any point

Until now, many people have pointed out that they got vaccinated with the first dose at one point, they would like to get vaccinated at another – it was either impossible or difficult. From July 1, such a problem will no longer exist. Everyone who got vaccinated with the first dose will be able to find a date at any other point and get vaccinated with the second dose – announced Minister Michał Dworczyk at the end of May.

It turned out that such a possibility appeared earlier than announced. You can choose any point from Sunday. He noticed it, among others. Dr. Paweł Grzesiowski.

«Finally, we have unlocked the ability to switch to a second injection point. Vaccination for COVID-19 at any point. How to do it?

Some time ago we have reached the point where there is no shortage of vaccines, but only willing ones. Supply far exceeds demand. In the search engine for vaccinating dates, you can easily find points with several or even several dozen dates. And this applies to each of the four preparations used in Poland.

– This stage ends when the biggest challenge for us was obtaining vaccines. Convincing Poles to vaccinate will be a greater and greater challenge. This is a challenge for all of us. Only vaccinating as many of the population as possible will allow COVID-19 to win, said Dworczyk, the government’s plenipotentiary for vaccination, some time ago.

Now you can take the second dose anywhere (here you can find a vaccination map), without the need to make an appointment. It is possible to come on foot, even while on vacation away from where we live and the point where we were scheduled for the second injection.

However, it is necessary to fulfill several conditions. First of all, the minimum prescribed interval between doses must pass.

We must also have an identity document and a certificate of taking the first dose. After taking a dose, a vaccination point will mark on the system that we have vaccinated at a different place and time than we were enrolled in.

– It will all be organized in an intuitive way. If someone goes to another place in Poland during the holidays, he will be able to find out where the vaccination point is there, call, visit the point and make an appointment – confirmed on Monday Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski.

Second dose at any point. Will it be possible to do it everywhere without a problem?

The government is doing everything to make vaccination easier for all those who want to get vaccinated. But is it really a convenience for everyone? How does it look from the other side, the vaccination points?

  1. Are you threatened by the Delta variant? The degree of risk depends on several factors. What kind?

– The introduction of the possibility of receiving a second dose of vaccine at any point is unlikely to be problematic for larger vaccination points, in large centers. The situation is different in smaller centers, where 30-60 vaccinations are performed per week. At these points, the number of doses is calculated, and not always the person who comes out of the walk will be able to get vaccinated. She will then be asked to find another vaccination point, where the number of free doses is much greater – said Monika Kowalska from the Zielenogórski Agreement.
