Yoga for the face

“All ages can do this fun,” explains Anneliese Hagen, a yoga teacher from New York, where her lessons became a real sensation. Sitting in front of a mirror, her 50-year-old students stick out their tongues, puff out their cheeks, wrinkle their nose and roll their eyes. The goal of the game is to “pump up” the small muscles of the face, which become flabby with age. Facial yoga relieves tension from the eyes and unclenches the pursed lips … Then the attack on wrinkles begins – a light massage of the forehead and training of the nasolabial muscles. “Some exercises can be done for five minutes a day,” says a forty-year-old woman without a wrinkle and author of The Yoga Face. If you believe her students, the result is obvious! “And it lasts longer than from Botox injections,” one of them rejoices.
