Yard games list, game rules

Most modern schoolchildren wipe their pants on benches by clicking on the screen of smartphones. It was more fun in our childhood! What games can we teach the younger generation?

Number of Players: from 3 people.

Here, the principle is about the same as with rubber bands. Two twist the rope, one jumps in different ways. When it gets lost or clings, it passes the move. You can play with a large number of people, when one is the leader, the rest become around him. The presenter twists the rope folded in half at the level of the ankles, everyone jumps over, then lifts it to the level of the knees, etc. Jumping methods are also changing. Those who are touched by the rope drop out.

Number of Players: from 3 people.

The game is mainly for girls. Two participants put on an elastic band on their ankles, the third one jumps over it at first in the simplest version. For example, three jumps on each side of the rubber band, then two and finally one. Then the task becomes more difficult – the rubber band rises to the level of the knees, then the hips, belt, etc. The jumper’s task is not to touch the elastic band, not to get entangled in it. Then the combinations of jumps themselves become more complicated. For example, “pedestrians” – we jump and simultaneously step on both rubber bands, then alternately change our legs. The main thing is not to release the rubber band from under the foot or not miss, which is not easy at higher levels. There are quite a few such exercise options. I remember, in order not to cling to our shoes, we often played barefoot.

Number of Players: from 5 people.

Two “bouncers” stand on both sides of the court opposite each other. In the middle are the remaining players. It is better to have a small, light ball so as not to harm anyone by accident. The task of the “bouncers” is to knock out the players in the middle with the ball, and the task of the latter is, accordingly, to dodge with all their might to stay in the game. The one who is knocked out, he leaves the game or changes places with the “bouncer”.

Number of Players: from 2 people.

The simplest and most popular option is to draw the classics in such a way that 1 and 2 are located vertically above each other in separate cells, 3 and 4 are horizontally in a double cell, 5 will be one cell, 6 and 7 will be double again, and so on until 10 The rules are as follows: we throw a pebble on 1. We jump on single squares on one leg, on double – two, on 9 and 10, turn 180% and jump back in the same way, at the end of the path you need to pick up a pebble. It is important not to lose balance while doing this. Then we throw it to the 2nd, 3rd cells, etc. We jump every time, starting with one. A move transition occurs when a pebble flies out of the desired cell or the participant does not maintain balance.

Now, of course, there are whole sets for playing “small towns”: special bats and blocks. But in our childhood, cans, small pebbles, pieces of wood were involved. They were used to build figures. The players found heavy sticks for themselves that could knock down the figures and threw them from a certain distance. The winner knocked down the most pieces. You can even compete together, with each throw increasing or decreasing the distance to the cherished figures.

Number of Players: from 3 people.

In most outdoor games, the more participants are involved, the more fun. So here too – one leader, the rest – figures. The facilitator repeats:

“The sea is worried once,

The sea is worried two,

The sea waves three,

Marine (or some other) figure, freeze on the spot! “

The rest at this time are spinning, spinning, fooling around. But after the command, everyone freezes in a certain position. The presenter approaches each and “turns on” her. The player must in motion depict a sea or some other figure (which the leader himself can clarify in his remark). The winner is the one that liked the presenter the most.

Number of Players: from 8 people.

All are divided into two teams of equal number of players. They stand at some distance from each other, holding hands. Then a member of one team runs up and tries to break through the “chains” of the other team. If it works, he takes one player for himself, if not, he remains in the new team. The winners are those who eventually turn out to be more.

8. “Grandma, grandmother, the threads are breaking!”

Number of Players: from 4 people, one of them is a driver.

The driver turns away, the rest form a circle, holding hands. Then they begin to get entangled, intertwining with each other, without opening their hands. When there is nowhere else to “get confused”, the driver is called: “Grandma, grandmother, the threads are torn!” His task is to untangle the players so that the “threads” do not break. If it works out, he gets into a circle, another leader is chosen. The more players, the more fun. It is funny when it seems that everyone has already unraveled, but there are one or two players who are standing backwards. Then you have to confuse everyone again in order to find another option.

Number of Players: from 6 people.

Two teams – one will be the fleeing robbers, the other – the catching up Cossacks. While the Cossacks are counting, the robbers are scattering in all directions, but they had to leave “keys” – for example, arrows drawn in chalk. From them, the Cossacks knew where to run. It is important to immediately limit the territory, otherwise you will have to look for robbers until the morning. It was a kind of hide-and-seek game.

Number of Players: from 5 people.

The players stand in a circle and throw the ball to each other, agreeing in advance whether they will catch or hit it, like in volleyball. Whoever missed the ball sits in a circle. Now he can return to the game only under two conditions – he will be “knocked out” by one of the players, or he himself will catch the passing ball without getting up from his crouches. His place in the center will then be taken by the one who “unsuccessfully” threw the ball.

Number of Players: from 4 people.

One leader takes a ring, or a button, or any flat object, puts it between his palms. The rest of the players fold their palms in the same way. The presenter holds between the palms of each player, and leaves a ring with one of them so that no one will notice. Then he says: “Ring, ring, go out on the porch!” If the player managed to run out, he becomes the leader, if the others guessed everything and managed to catch him, the leader does not change.

Number of Players: from 7 people.

Each participant gives something of his own to the presenter, it can be anything – from a boot to a hairpin. Then one participant turns away from everyone, the host takes the first phantom and asks: “What should this phantom do?” The one who sits with his back comes up with a task limited only by his imagination: to jump on one leg 100 times, sing a song, read a poem, dance, draw an owl, etc. When all the forfeits have received the task, the most interesting begins: in order to get his thing back, the player must complete what he got. It is especially fun when a participant assigns the most unusual task, and it went to his own phantom.

Number of Players: from 4 people.

It is convenient to play this game on a courtyard road where cars do not drive. The presenter stands in the middle of it, the participants – on one of the sides. Turning his back to the players, the presenter calls any color. If the participant has it on his clothes (in accessories), he calmly goes to the other side. If not, his task is to run across without being touched by the presenter. Otherwise, they will swap places.

14. “The quieter you go, the farther you will be”

Number of Players: from 4 people.

One leader and the rest of the players stand at a fairly large distance from each other. The presenter says loudly: “The quieter you go, the farther you will be. Stop! ”, The participants at this time run towards the presenter. At the stop signal, everyone should stop abruptly, because the leader turns. And if he noticed any movement, this participant returns to the beginning of the path or drops out. The one who first ran to the leader takes his place.

Number of Players: from 4 people.

This is a relaxed ball game. The leader in turn throws the ball to the players, naming something edible, then the participant must catch the ball, or inedible – must be pushed away. Whoever makes mistakes becomes the leader.
