In our history there are also references to chiropractors. The first evidence of their activities appeared during the -Polish war. In 1654, the first Moscow Medical School was formed, in which there were two departments: medicinal and bone-setting.

For a long time, surgery and traumatology were inseparable. Only in the XNUMXth century, the latter was recognized as an independent branch of medicine, after which emergency rooms and separate rooms in polyclinics began to be created, where it was possible to receive trauma treatment on an outpatient basis. The development of many areas of medicine was the appearance in the 19th century of anesthesia, antiseptics, plaster casts, X-rays, the importance of which in traumatology is simply invaluable.

This important section in medicine was widely developed after the Great October Revolution, when institutes of orthopedics and traumatology began to open in different cities, departments at medical institutes and institutes for advanced training of doctors.
