The best pastry chef in the world is a Belgian chocolate maker who had already won this title 25 years ago.
Belgian chocolatier Pierre Marcolini was named the best pastry chef in the world in 2020. The jury at the prestigious international competition World Pastry Stars voted for the Belgian unanimously, reports korrespondent.net with reference to The Bulletin ..
The jury stated that the award is a tribute to the virtuoso who “promoted the pastry profession internationally with his creativity, his products, and his commercial and business value”.
56-year-old Marcolini already received the title of the best pastry chef in the world in 1995 at the confectionery championship in Lyon, France.
In the same year in Brussels, he founded his own chocolate business, Maison Pierre Marcolini. And now there are more than forty stores of the company in Belgium, France, Great Britain, Japan and China.
