Woman gave birth to twins, and her husband filed for divorce

Pregnancy with twins is always a little more risky than when a woman is expecting one baby. It is both physically harder, and the risk of premature birth is higher, and the likelihood of a caesarean section also increases. But the mother of twins from China had to face a completely unforeseen consequence of the birth of twins – she was about to get divorced.

All this happened not at all because the father of the children – a man named Xiao Long – found it difficult to raise two kids at once. Not because he suddenly decided that he was not ready for parental everyday life. The fate of the family was decided by the process of registering the babies. In China, it is not enough just to show a certificate from a maternity hospital. In order for the children to issue documents, they need to undergo a DNA test. And then a surprise surfaced: one of the boys was indeed the son of Xiao Long, but the second had no biological similarities with him.

“Even before that, I wondered why one of the sons looks like me, and the other – well, not a drop,” Xiao Long confessed. But the result of the DNA examination shocked him.

To say that the man was furious is to say nothing. He immediately went to sort things out with his wife. By the way, she chose an excellent defense tactic – attack. The young mother accused her husband of faking the test results. But the argument turned out to be weak. In the end, she admitted: yes, she did. Spent only one night with some guy and didn’t think that an accidental affair would end in pregnancy.

“I don’t mind raising my child. But I don’t want to have anything to do with a stranger, ”said the offended man.

So now, most likely, the young mother will have to take care of the child on her own.

By the way, doctors say that the chances of having twins from different fathers are extremely rare, the probability is no more than 1: 400. But this is still possible if a woman has sex with different men during the day before or the day after ovulation. That is, this is the case of fraternal twins, but from different dads. And the phenomenon itself is called heteropaternal superfecundation. It is quite difficult to investigate it: not all couples at the birth of twins apply for a DNA test, and superfecundation can only be detected in this way.
