Beer Wolpertinger (Volpertinger) is produced at the plant, on the site of which the imperial brewery Geislingen once stood. The brand got its name in honor of a mythical creature – a cross between a hare, a roe deer and a duck, which, according to legend, lives in the Bavarian forests. The manufacturer claims that drinking the drink increases the chances of catching a strange animal. The ancient beer recipe has not changed since 1878. At one time it was considered lost, but was completely restored by the manufacturer.
The brand belongs to the German company IQ 4 YOU GmbH, whose production facilities are located in a small town of Bad Uberkingen with a population of about three thousand people. The company was founded in 1996 and is engaged in the production of mineral water and various drinks. Bright containers with the image of a horned hare are found in Russian stores in two versions: imported and domestic. In Russia, Volpertinger is produced in Kaluga by AB InBev Efes under the original license.
Authentic Bavarian taste
At home, Wolpertinger beer is produced in full compliance with the Purity Law, which has been in force in Bavaria since 1516. The requirements of the document state that the foamy drink should consist of only three ingredients: malt, hops and water. For production, special varieties of barley are used, which are grown in the vicinity of the plant. Hops are delivered from Hallertau (Bavaria). The purest water comes from forest sources and undergoes additional purification at the plant. The manufacturing process takes 6 weeks.

Wolpertinger The Traditional Helle (traditional) – a clear beer with a bright sunny hue. The aroma of bread is mixed with the spicy smell of hops. The taste is malty with a noticeable fruity note. Lush foam lasts a long time and does not settle. The manufacturer recommends the drink as an addition to national Bavarian dishes and spicy cheeses. The fortress is 5,1%, the density is 11,5%.
Wolpertinger Naturtrubes Hefeweissbier (wheat) – unfiltered beer with aromas of spices, fruits and wheat. The drink will delight lovers with a long aftertaste of herbs, citrus fruits and hops. The manufacturer guarantees the presence of flavors of melon, banana, pineapple, vanilla, cinnamon and cloves. The increased content of carbon dioxide gives an invigorating effect. The alcohol content in the wheat variety is 5%, the density is 11,69%.
