Without scales: how to measure grams with a spoon and a glass
 

Not everyone has a kitchen scale, and the recipes are more beautiful than the other! – and so please: “measure 138 grams ..” and the like. But what if you have ordinary kitchen utensils at hand? 

We publish useful information that will help you measure the amount of required ingredients using spoons and glasses. Of course, one should not expect absolute accuracy from this approach, but it is definitely better if you measure everything “by eye”. 

How many grams are in a teaspoon:

  • Flour – 10
  • Sugar – 10
  • Manki – 15
  • Salt -10
  • Sour cream or mayonnaise – 10
  • Tomato paste – 12
  • Oils (sunflower, olive) – 5
  • Vinegar – 7
  • Honey – 7-8

How many grams are in a tablespoon:

 
  • Flour – 15
  • Sugar – 20
  • Salt – 25-30
  • Buckwheat – 20
  • Rice – 20
  • Manka- 20
  • Milk – 20
  • Sour cream – 25
  • Fat – 20
  • Vinegar -15
  • Honey – 15-17

How many grams are in a glass:

  • Flour – 150
  • Sugar – 210
  • Salt – 300
  • Buckwheat – 210
  • Rice – 220
  • Manka- 200
  • Milk – 250
  • Sour cream – 250
  • Oil (sunflower, olive) – 240
  • Beans -220
  • Lentils – 210
  • Raisins – 190
  • Jam or preserves – 300-330

Before measuring the amount of grams with a spoon, please note that bulk products must be measured without a “slide”. A small mound is allowed.
