With one hand movement: mask-film

Remove fatigue, soften skin, cleanse pores – a good mask-film will cope with any of these tasks. And it will give you a few minutes of silence and solitude in anticipation of wonderful changes.

Mask-film: what is it and how does it look

This wonderful invention of cosmetologists looks like a cream or gel. But when you apply the mask to the skin, it hardens, forms a film (usually transparent) and then is removed with one hand movement. Everything that you wanted to get rid of remains on the inside: pollution, excess fat, keratinized skin particles. A minimum of effort – and what a result!

The mask may include:

  • latex;

  • absorbent substances (eg coal);

  • moisturizing (glycerin, aloe extract, etc.);

  • ingredients aimed at combating imperfections (for example, salicylic acid, tea tree oil, etc.).

Indications and contraindications

Film procedures are a godsend for oily or combination, problematic or tired skin.

The film mask helps:

  • remove contaminants;

  • cleanse pores;

  • fight peeling;

  • win acne;

  • make skin visibly younger.

The mask-film is sticky, and in order to remove it correctly, you have to make some efforts, so the product cannot be used:
  • on thin dry sensitive skin (it can stretch it, increase irritation);

  • if there are wounds, scratches or damage;

  • with capillaries close to the surface and with rosacea.

What effect do film masks give

Let’s talk about the benefits of film masks in more detail.

  • Cleansing. They carefully remove impurities from the pores, exfoliated cells, the secret of the sebaceous glands, bacteria. Moreover, the skin does not have to be rubbed – the mechanical effect is minimal. Everything else just sticks to the film.

  • Food. Due to close contact with the skin, the mask saturates it well with useful substances – vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are part of it.

  • Toning. Masks with ginseng extract, menthol, caffeine have an invigorating effect, awakening tired skin.

Cleanses, nourishes, tones – this mask should definitely be in your cosmetic bag!

Comparison of a homemade remedy and a finished mask

Of course, such a mask can be made at home – for example, from paraffin. But will it be as effective as the store? Dermatologist, Garnier expert Marina Kamanina thinks not: “Homemade masks have the right to exist if you urgently need to solve a specific problem, for example, cleanse or invigorate the skin, but there is no opportunity to purchase a ready-made product. But you need to understand that you can only make a mask at home from improvised means, and their skin does not always accept with gratitude. In addition, they can cause irritation, allergies.

Composition

If homemade masks are prepared according to inspiration (everything that was mixed, without much thought about proportions), then the composition of purchased samples is strictly verified. It has no random components.

Efficiency

For homemade tools, it is small. The mask can solve the problem, or it can cause new ones – for example, redness, rash, peeling. And you will not be glad that the mask was made. Finished cosmetic products were tested for effectiveness and safety.

Ease of use

And here the industrial facilities are at their best. Homemade masks don’t spread well, don’t absorb well, break or spread, and you have to make incredible efforts to remove them from the skin. Store ones are easy to apply and quickly removed. They are nice to look at and a pleasure to use. Finally, they are convenient to store on a shelf in the bathroom. Home remedies are usually disposable. They are not subject to storage.

How to properly use a face mask

  1. Gather your hair and put it under a towel or scarf: the mask-film is very sticky – if it gets on your hair, it will be difficult to remove it.

  2. Cleanse the skin properly – with a crab / peeling or foam / gel. You can lubricate the skin with a little warm cosmetic oil – apricot, grape, almond, olive, etc., so that the mask can be removed more easily.

  3. Apply the composition with a wide flat brush, starting from the chin and ending with the forehead, moving along the main massage lines. Avoid the area around the lips and eyes.

  4. Relax, try not to use facial expressions. Keep the mask on for 10-20 minutes, no longer – otherwise there is a risk of overdrying the skin.

  5. Start removing it from the chin. Pull the mask not perpendicularly away from you, but up towards the hair. Do not make sudden movements so as not to tear the mask, act carefully.

  6. Wipe the skin with a cotton pad moistened with warm water.

  7. Apply moisturizer.

A mask-film is a godsend for oily problem skin.
