Winter makeup 2016 photo, Vadim Andreev make-up artist
What should be done so that the mascara does not get imprinted under the eyes, the lips do not crack in the cold, and the skin does not peel off and does not look pale. Star makeup artist Vadim Andreev shared his professional secrets with Woman’s Day.
1. We get rid of the skin from dryness and flaking
“Any makeup starts with preparing the face – cleansing, toning and applying a cream,” says Vadim Andreev… – And here it is important to remember the golden rule: in sub-zero weather, you cannot use moisturizers, only nutritious ones. Because the water, which is part of the moisturizers, turns into tiny pieces of ice in the cold, and they damage the skin from the inside. For some reason, many girls ignore this fact, namely, because of an incorrectly selected cream, the skin peels off more.
And one more rule: do not rush to do makeup right away, wait until the cream is absorbed. At least 2-3 minutes. As a last resort, if there is no time, dab your face with paper towels to remove excess. Then you will get an ideal base for decorative cosmetics. “
2. Mask imperfections for the face
“It’s the same story with foundation: it shouldn’t be water-based,” emphasizes Andreev. – In winter, I advise owners of dry skin to use oil-based toners, and those with oily skin – on silicone. But you should not use powder with a minus – it additionally dries the face. If you want to get rid of the oily sheen, it is better to go over the T-zone with matting napkins: forehead, nose and chin. “
3. Say “no!” chapped lips
“And again, nutrients will help out: balms and hygienic lipsticks. Do not be lazy to apply them on your lips before every time you go outside. The skin there is very delicate, so in winter it just needs to be constantly nourished. It sounds corny, but girls often neglect it. As a result, the lips dry and crack. “
4. Choosing mascara without drips
“The only option is moisture resistant mascara. Due to snowfall, high humidity and wind, ordinary mascara will be under the eyes of girls in a second. And while removing stubborn products from your face is more difficult, you don’t have to worry about makeup draining onto your face before you get to work. And I also recommend using a creamy eyeliner: you can make a clear line or a “smoky eye” with it, and be sure that it will not smudge, unlike a liquid one ”.
5. Give the face the right color
“It is unlikely that girls, because of the cold season, will start to paint with other shades or blush, but in vain! – sure make-up artist. – In winter everything around becomes white and gloomy, and if in autumn and summer blue shadows looked bright, then in January they will give the face a deadly pallor. Red shades are also out of place – they will seem alien, unnatural. It is better to use a natural scale: beige or pinkish shadows. The main thing with blush is not to overdo it. After all, in winter, the cheeks turn red naturally, and the additional blush will turn the girl into the heroine of Inna Churikova from the movie “Frost”.
