“Souls meet on the lips of lovers,” wrote the English romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley. In order for the meeting to take place 24/7, the skin of the lips will have to be taken care of. Especially in winter, when they suffer from cold winds, frost and temperature changes.
Why do lips need special care in winter?
In winter, the skin is regularly stressed, which is not surprising, because the weather conditions are not the most favorable:
lack of moisture;
cold;
strong wind;
temperature drops;
overdried room air.
But the lips are especially vulnerable:
there are practically no sebaceous glands on the skin of the lips (that is, there is no natural lipid barrier);
the epidermis is very thin;
capillaries are located very close to the surface.
Our test will tell you if your skin is getting enough moisture.

Makeup Remover
Postpone gels and mousses until better (read warm) times, use oil lotions, milk and micellar water. Clean your lips especially gently, for example with a soft konjac sponge.
Exfoliation
To stimulate tissue renewal, peel once a week with a special cosmetic scrub with a soft abrasive – in the form of grains of sugar or synthetic spheres.
Immediately after peeling, apply a moisturizer or lip balm to your lips.

Gymnastics
Yes, fitness is good for lips too – it gives them tone and increases blood flow. The exercises are easy.
Tease: stick out your tongue as far as you can, hold it for a few seconds, then pull it back.
Imitate the fish: stretch your lips, open your mouth, close and open your lips with tension.
Grimacing: move your lips stretched forward to the right and left.
Sing: articulating intensely, say a-o-o-o-e-s.

Nutrition and drinking regimen
Whatever balms you apply, they are unlikely to work if there are no products with omega fatty acids in the diet, and the body suffers from a water deficiency (you need to drink at least 1,5 liters per day).
Lip cosmetics
In winter, before going out, apply a protective balm, before going to bed – moisturizing. If you notice wrinkles, buy an anti-aging lip cream.
What to look for in a lineup?
Moisturizing ingredients: hyaluronic acid, aloe extract.
Hydrofixers: ceramides, glycerin and vegetable oils (olive, coconut, almond, shea, macadamia, jojoba). The latter are also natural antioxidants.
Nourishing, healing, smoothing components: vitamins C, A, E, group B, vegetable proteins, collagen and its phytoanalogues.

Primers
This point may come as a surprise. But the primer, prolonging the durability of lipstick, seals moisture in the skin.
