Unfortunately, according to reports, Pigmanorm is no longer available in the manufacturer’s portfolio, so there is no way to use this product.

Discoloration that bothers you sun lentil spots, formed under the influence of chronic sunlight. Usually they occur in people with fair skin, difficult to tan. These are spots of irregular shape, usually brown or light brown in color, with a smooth surface. They appear on the skin exposed to the sun’s rays, e.g. on the face, hands, forearms. They are more visible in summer – their color is more intense and there are more of them. They are only a cosmetic defect, they are not the starting point for skin cancer.

In order to prevent the formation and deterioration of lentil stains, appropriate protection against UV radiation by the use of creams with a high sunscreen should be used, avoiding the sun. Such discoloration often fades or disappears completely after exposure. However, if it causes discomfort, it is worth removing such changes. It is a superficial lesion and does not require its deep removal, therefore chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and the use of vitamin A preparations may cause their disappearance. However, if these methods also do not work, laser therapy or cryotherapy can be considered.

Nevertheless, any pigmentation change should be examined by a dermatologist. Perhaps the discoloration is actually melanoma? A dermatologist can see any birthmark or discoloration under a dermatoscope. This is a tool that allows you to see the change in magnification. Thanks to such equipment, he can assess ABCDE, i.e. asymmetry, edges, color, diameter, change evolution. The pigmented lesion causing oncological concern is usually asymmetric, with uneven edges, more than one color, and a diameter greater than 6mm. During subsequent visits, the dermatologist can also assess the evolution of the lesion – whether it is enlarging, changing shape or color. If any change seems suspicious, the doctor orders its removal and a histopathological examination.
