A destructive or wild conflict usually proceeds by alternating wave phases (embodied in the following forms): a shootout, a battle (an acute phase of a destructive conflict), a break (Cold containment), then along a new wave. Such a conflict ends either with a break in relations, or with the victory of one side over the other with the suppression of the enemy, who turns into an extension from below and distance, avoidance.
A destructive conflict is characterized by the fact that people «get stuck» in discussing each other’s personal shortcomings and do not capture in the field of their interaction the actual problems that caused this tension. In the acute phase, the conflict is hot, intense and swift. Numerous distortions of meanings arise: everyone ascribes to the partner the meaning of his statements, which he did not mean. Conflicting seek to defend themselves mainly with the help of force. They build communication barriers, set up «ambushes», rush to attack first. Such a conflict is a brutal war in which there are winners and losers, the wounded, the psychologically traumatized, and the “killed” (refused to take an active position, broken and suppressed).
Destructive conflict is harmful because it does not contribute to the successful search for ways to solve the problem and at the same time destroys relationships between people — from rejection of each other to a complete break.
