Habitual hygiene can actually be very dangerous!
You will be surprised to learn that earwax cannot actually be removed. And in case of its accumulation, it is worth contacting a doctor that he professionally and without harm to health removed the so-called sulfur plug.
Probably, for everyone it is quite a familiar and familiar situation – after a bath, steamed and contented, armed with a cotton swab (while some still close their eyes from effort), you clean your ears. And you are trying to clear the ear canals deeper so that they squeak directly. For a minute, it even seems to you that you have begun to hear better. In fact, such hygienic execution can lead to hearing loss.
Let us tell you why. Firstly, the cleaning procedure is carried out blindly – you do not see how deeply the stick penetrates, and focus solely on your feelings. Secondly, you are not cleaning, but, on the contrary, pushing the earwax even deeper. This threatens that it will simply stick to the eardrum and even a doctor will find it difficult to remove it without the necessary tools.
And if your hand involuntarily trembles? Remember how, when cleaning your ears, you sometimes flinch from a sharp momentary pain. You got to the bottom of the sensitive eardrum with a mass of painful endings. And if you damage her, you could lose your hearing.
So how do you clean your ears? Do not run to the doctor every time.
You can use the old grandmother’s method – we roll up a miniature roll from a piece of bandage, moisten it in a special solution for the ears (by the way, this can be 3% hydrogen peroxide or gruel from ordinary baking soda) and carefully place it in the ear canal. In half an hour we go to the shower, a small pressure of water from the shower head is directed to the ears – the dissolved sulfur itself will drain down the ear canal. Then gently blot the outer part of the ear and the auricle with a cotton swab. And that’s it, and no injuries.
