Why you always want to go to the toilet during pregnancy: a list of the main reasons
Frequent urination is a constant companion of pregnancy. A rare woman bypasses this problem: expectant mothers have to go to the restroom 2-3 times more actively than an ordinary person. Why do you want to go to the toilet all the time during pregnancy? And can this be fixed?
Causes of frequent urge to use the toilet
The bladder regularly surprises women in position. That is, urine leaks during physical activity, laughing or coughing. That frequent urge makes you run to the ladies’ room every 30-40 minutes, although the bubble has not even really filled up. During pregnancy, you want to use the toilet almost all the time, and for good reason.
- In the first months after the conception of a child, the level of the hormone hCG increases sharply in the blood of the expectant mother, which acts on the muscles of the bladder in a relaxing manner. In the middle of the term, the hormonal background stabilizes, so frequent urination ceases to bother. In the last trimester, hCG rises again, provoking frequent urge to use the toilet.
- Closer to childbirth, the uterus increases significantly in size. Gradually, she sinks and begins with her weight to put pressure on the organs of the excretory system, forcing the woman to go to the toilet much more actively than it was in the first trimester.
This is why you want to use the toilet more often than usual during pregnancy. This is considered normal. However, there are conditions in which frequent urination should be alarming.
Be sure to seek help from your doctor if frequent trips to the toilet are accompanied by:
- burning sensation;
- pain;
- fever;
- fever;
- discharge of blood along with urine.
The listed symptoms indicate the presence of an infection, the spread of which is best stopped at the root. Do not let things go by themselves and solve health problems in a timely manner!
