The therapist and author of numerous books on medicine, Andrei Leonidovich Zvonkov, told Woman’s Day about why you should not associate poor health with the weather.
Spring in Moscow this year turned out to be capricious: in March we sunbathed in the sun, and in May we had to warm ourselves in winter coats, and even go out with an umbrella almost every day. And today, on May 17, the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia urged Muscovites and guests of the capital to prepare for the worst – five-day magnetic storms, which, according to experts, will have a bad effect on the well-being of weather-dependent people. What to do for those who had a sharp headache and pressure surges, we learned from a well-known therapist and author of this year’s bestseller “Vorozheya. You will be saved by love ”Andrei Leonidovich Zvonkov.
“In fact, the weather and magnetic storms cannot influence the well-being of healthy people in any way,” Andrei Leonidovich immediately consoled us. – Most people completely unreasonably write off a headache, dizziness, rapid pulse or pressure surges due to the weather. It is important to understand that all these symptoms can be associated with completely different factors: any chronic disease that needs to be treated, a lack or excess of salt or water in the body, and in girls and women with premenstrual syndrome. In addition, the psychological factor is of great importance: on TV or in the media they said that storms are approaching, from which everyone will feel bad, and many initially program themselves that they will not be healthy, and the body, of course, responds to this request.
If you do not have chronic diseases, and you feel bad at times, it is important to find out the reason, – continued Andrey Leonidovich. – In most cases, it lies in the wrong diet, and high blood pressure, for example, can occur due to an excess of salt in the body. Also, the level of water, protein, sugar affects our body. In general, stock up on newfangled gadgets or a simple blood pressure monitor and try to find the relationship between your blood pressure and heart rate, what you ate and how much water you drank. At the same time, the body of each person is unique, there can be no definite advice. One, to get rid of a headache, needs to drink coffee with honey, the other – a decoction of chamomile. The main thing is not to be very suspicious and fixated on your well-being, you need to go about your business, not paying attention to the news of the Hydrometeorological Center.
