Why Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s relationship was so unhealthy: psychologist diagnosed

The high-profile court case between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard does not stop. It all started in 2018, when Hurd accused the actor of domestic violence in an article for The Washington Post — then Depp filed a libel suit against her. Recently, the process has been supplemented with new facts.

Johnny Depp’s lawyers hired psychologist Shannon Curry, who made her diagnosis of Heard after 12 hours of interviews and also after reviewing her mental health records. A forensic psychologist testified that the actress was suffering at the same time borderline and hysterical personality disorder.

Borderline personality disorder, says Curry, manifests itself in instability “which is driven by an underlying fear of abandonment.” According to the psychologist, people with this disorder «will make desperate attempts to prevent it.»

In turn, hysterical personality disorder is associated with «drama and pettiness» and the need to be in the spotlight. Curry said the disorder is common in people who are physically attractive and «use their looks to get that attention.»

Also, according to the results of the work of a psychologist, Amber Heard does not suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder due to a relationship with her ex-husband, as the actress claimed.

Depp’s team is hoping Curry’s testimony will back up their claim that Amber Heard herself was the aggressor in the couple’s troubled relationship. Prior to this, Johnny Depp testified to Heard’s «need for conflict» and her tendency to stalk him during arguments when he tried to withdraw and distance himself.

The other day, another former Amber Heard, billionaire Elon Musk, also got into the news reports. The actress met with him after breaking up with Depp. Musk bought the social network Twitter for $44 billion, and in this gesture, he once again saw signs of narcissistic personality disorder.
