The price of camel milk for the consumer is much higher than that of cow milk. But experts say there is more benefit from it. It is richer in vitamin C, B, iron, calcium, magnesium and potassium. And there is less fat in it.

Another important feature of camel milk is that it is easier to digest, as its composition is closest to human breast milk, and even helps to lower blood sugar levels.

These factors are helping to gain popularity in cow’s milk. Today it is a fairly popular ingredient. And those businesses that have regional access to camel milk are trying to adapt even popular products for production using this product.

For example, the story of the Dubai businessman Martin Van Alsmick can serve as a vivid example. In 2008, he opened the world’s first camel milk chocolate factory in Dubai called Al Nassma. And already in 2011, he began to supply his products to Switzerland.

 

According to kedem.ru, exclusively local camel milk is used to create the chocolate, which comes to the factory from the Camelicious camel farm, located across the street.

In the process of making chocolate, camel milk is added in the form of a dry powder, since it is 90% water, and water does not mix well with cocoa butter. Acacia honey and bourbon vanilla are also ingredients of chocolate.

The Al Nassma factory produces an average of 300 kg of chocolate per day, which is exported to several countries around the world – from San Diego to Sydney.

Today, camel milk chocolate can be found in the famous London department stores Harrods and Selfridges, as well as in the Julius Meinl am Graben store in Vienna.

Al Nassma said that a significant rise in popularity of camel milk chocolate is now seen in East Asia, where about 35% of the company’s customers are located.
