The first step is to remove the pus. Eyes should be rinsed with boiled water, and then blotted with a swab moistened with a weak furacilin solution. Wipe towards the nose. To relieve inflammation, you can rinse your eyes with a herbal decoction or make lotions from it:

  • tincture of chamomile. Pour 200-250 g boiling water 3 tbsp. l. chamomile flower. Let it brew, strain. Put lotions 5 times a day for 15 minutes or rinse;

  • tincture on calendula. Pour 200-250 g boiling water 2 tbsp. l. calendula. Let it brew, strain. Do flushes or lotions. Can be combined;

  • strong black tea. They can rinse their eyes or apply lotions for 5-7 minutes.

If symptoms persist within 1-2 days, you should see a doctor. He will determine the cause of the inflammation and prescribe the necessary medications.

During treatment it is necessary:

  • observe personal hygiene, do not rub your eyes, use only your own towel;

  • treat the second eye, even if it does not fester;

  • avoid stress;

  • refuse to use cosmetics.

What to do at home if the eye is still festering? It’s okay to stop self-medication and consult a doctor to determine the cause and prescription of drug treatment. This will allow you to quickly deal with the problem and avoid serious complications.

  • avoid using contact lenses if conjunctivitis occurs;

  • ensure peace of mind, avoid contact with dust, irritating substances;

  • do not rub your eyes with your hands or clothes;

  • carry out wet cleaning in the apartment several times a week.
