First of all, it is necessary to understand the very meaning of the word “diet”. Translated from Greek, it translates as “lifestyle” and “diet”. The dictionary interprets it as a set of certain rules in the use of food. Nowhere is it said about any restrictions, the more severe, with which modern women identify this word.

All the well-known and sensational diets existing today are in any case based on any dietary restrictions. The bulk is mono-diets, which involve the use of a limited amount of foods that lead to weight loss, and often simply to remove fluid from the body.

Mono-diets are poorly tolerated by the body and cause stress. First, it is not easy to give up familiar and favorite foods for a long time. Secondly, the supply of substances necessary for it stops in the body.

In principle, diets are good if it is just vital to lose a few pounds in order to put on your favorite dress for an important celebration, look great at your own wedding or on other occasions.

For example, the buckwheat diet has proven itself well, its popularity has not subsided for many years. It allows you to lose several kilograms without causing any particular harm to the body, since buckwheat contains many substances, minerals, vitamins and amino acids necessary for the human body. The body is slightly cleansed during the diet and the result is seen very quickly – the skin becomes beautiful, the body becomes light, the mood improves.

The effect disappears as soon as buckwheat and kefir get bored, and the body has already spent its reserves of substances missing in the cereal. Even this popular diet is tough enough that it often causes breakdowns. Not a single physician without special indications for the patient’s health will recommend a mono-diet for weight loss.

Diets reduce the intake of calories in the body, thereby causing the burning of fat stores. But at the same time, many necessary and familiar substances for the body cease to enter the body, which causes stress, depression, and, as a reverse effect, the appearance worsens, hair dulls, nails become brittle, and the skin becomes flabby.

As a result, fatigue and bad mood appear. If you bring your body to a nervous or even physical exhaustion, a breakdown will certainly follow, in which control over the process of food consumption is lost – and the circle closes.

For millennia, mankind has fought for survival, which means for food. People have learned to eat absolutely all organic products, to get from them the substances necessary for life.

In the modern world, the body has relaxed and accumulated reserves as much as it wanted. Any diet in the modern sense implies a reduction in the amount of food consumed and leads to weight loss. The genetic memory of the cells is triggered – he is trying with all his might to return his own, that is, to make reserves so that the next time during a famine he can save his life.

When returning to the usual diet at the end of the diet, the body, mindful of the potential danger, accumulates more reserves than necessary. The accumulation of mainly fat begins, and the weight becomes even greater than before the diet. Nothing can stop this process, it is called the yo-yo effect – it is preprogrammed at the genetic level.

The diet is perceived as a painful process. It is the negative emotions in relation to the very process of the diet that lead to stress and, as a rule, to inevitable defeat. Diet should not be treated as a punishment for excess weight; it should be seen as a way to improve your appearance and improve your health. In this case, the term “diet” in its modern understanding does not even need to be used, you just need to reconsider your attitude to nutrition, move away from stereotypes.

In no case should you trust the advertised magic pills or other products that are supposedly capable of burning fat themselves.

The result of such experiments on yourself will necessarily be a few extra pounds. After all, it seems that the weight goes away by itself, while you do not need to change anything in your life.

Until ten years ago, everyone was buying magic pineapple extract pills. As soon as its effectiveness was not confirmed, new products began to appear. To date, green coffee with ginger is breaking advertising records – an absolutely useless drink, it can even harm some.

You need to lose weight slowly but surely

Doctors recommend losing weight by no more than a tenth of the previous weight in six months.

The body needs to be gradually accustomed to fewer calories, gradually reducing the calorie content and the amount of food. Ideally, of course, it is better to consult a nutritionist who will individually approach each specific case and select the right diet.

For variety, it is necessary to change the diet more often, to consume various foods to saturate the body with different nutrients. It is better to eat about every four hours – this way the feeling of hunger will not be particularly acute.

Do not forget about simple drinking water – it must be consumed at least 1,5 liters per day. For a snack, you need to choose low-calorie foods. Plates should be small to make the food appear larger.

Today’s lack of movement and physical activity can negate the most severe dietary restrictions.

It is simply necessary to move, and the more the better. Do not miss the opportunity to walk an extra stop, it is useful to refuse the elevator. Exercising should be the rule, and going to gyms is ideal. The main thing is that such activities are enjoyable, and not turn into torture. Outdoor hiking, cycling and weekend hiking should be the rule for the whole family.
