Why does the cream roll on the face: what to do

Even a high-quality and expensive cream can not adhere well to the skin, but we know how to avoid this.

Many girls are faced with the inability to use the cream due to the fact that immediately after application it rolls and crumbles from the face. Let’s see why this is happening.

Cosmetologists are sure that a perfectly matched cream should lie on the skin in a thin, even layer, and then be absorbed without residue. But why is there always something wrong with him? There are several reasons why the cream rolls on the face.

1. The skin is not clean enough

This is the most common cause of cream rolling off. If you are trying to apply it on oily skin with the remnants of the previous make-up, then be prepared for an unpleasant surprise: the cream will not be absorbed, but will literally slide off the face. Therefore, before applying any cream, make it a rule to wash your face thoroughly, cleanse your pores and degrease your skin. Use cleansing brushes, washcloths, light scrubs and toners for this.

2. Incorrect application of the cream

Another reason for the cream to roll off on the face can be the application of too much product. In this case, the skin is physically unable to absorb and retain a thick layer of cream, which inevitably begins to roll off.

There are so-called film creams that do not need to be rubbed, but driven into the skin. Therefore, if the cream rolls on your face, try applying it in layers by tapping your fingers. The skin will take the amount it needs, and you can stop in time. The same rule applies to many foundation.

3. Using a bad cream

Bad doesn’t mean cheap. There are many proven domestic brands that produce good inexpensive creams. But if you buy a cream of an unknown brand or use an expired one, do not be surprised that it will not absorb well. The best option is to choose a few ideal brands for yourself and change them every 2-3 weeks so that the skin does not get used to it. Well, if you like trying new things, try to test the cream on the skin before buying. Another tip is to store the cream in the refrigerator, so it will retain its original texture and aroma longer. But if the cream is more than a year old, it is advisable to throw it away or use it only for hands.

Why else does the cream roll on the face: an expert opinion

Check if you have hyperkeratosis. This is a collection of dead skin particles that form a film and clog pores. It is necessary to remove horny scales from the face at least once a month using washcloths and scrubs. The main thing is not to accidentally injure the skin, otherwise micro-wounds and inflammation will appear on it.

Cream can roll for several reasons.

1. Dehydration of the skin. The epidermis is unable to absorb the applied product, because it is catastrophically dry. Cosmetics are food and drink for the skin. An analogy can be drawn with the satisfaction of the needs of the whole organism for food (proteins, etc.) and drink (moisture): when we are extremely thirsty, we cannot even swallow a piece of food – there is not enough strength to chew, there is no saliva to wet food. The same thing happens with cosmetics: a part of the cream that has not been absorbed by the skin remains on the surface of the skin.

2. The cleansing of the skin was insufficient, and there is a lot of sebum on the face. Maybe you don’t completely rinse off the cleansing gel or scrub, or the scrub itself has an overly lipid-rich base, and the skin is oily or combination. Or, after rinsing, a small amount of the make-up remover base remains in the form of a film on the surface and does not allow the serum into the skin.

3. Excess of applied product, especially when the cream used has an instant lifting effect. Various tensins (substances in the composition of the product that are responsible for instant tightening and smoothing of the skin) should be evenly distributed over the skin and fix, and if we continue to rub in the remnants of the product, then the cream that dries up in the process will inevitably roll off. This problem is more common with emulsion, lightweight cream or serum, because these products are less greasy and dry faster outside the bottle.

To solve the problem, you need reduce the amount of cream applied at one time, and reduce the time of its application (do not smear on the face for a long time with massage elements, as heroines sometimes do in the movies).
