Unfortunately, gray hair can appear at an early age, which is undoubtedly frustrating and makes you wonder: is everything okay with my health?
In fact, the fears are quite justified: if already at the age of 25-30, not just single gray hairs appear, but, for example, whole bundles of discoloration on certain parts of the head, then you should consult a doctor and undergo an examination to find out the cause of early gray hair.
And recently, they started talking about the fact that the appearance of gray hair in different parts of the head (for example, bunches on the top of the head or silvery temples) indicates a malfunction of specific organs. We find out if this is so.
Firstly, it is important to understand that our hair color is due to special pigments, in the production of which the thyroid and pituitary glands are involved. The same melanin begins its work even before the birth of the child – in the womb of the mother. But the activity of its production decreases after 30 years. That is, pigments die off, and melanin does not have time to be produced so quickly – the speed has already been significantly reduced. This is where the gray hair comes from. But after all, someone can boast of a bright head of hair even at 40 with a ponytail, and someone mercilessly pulls out gray hairs, just overstepping the 20-year line.
Gray hair depends on many factors. Are you nervous at work, worried about problems on your personal front, do you burden yourself with unnecessary psychological stress? Please, depression and stress will add gray hair and frustration to you. Do you often diet, severely limit yourself in food, count calories? Choose – the perfect figure or the perfect head of hair!
Add to this not the best environmental situation, improper hair care or even neglect of them, abuse of a hairdryer, curling irons, hot tongs, frequent and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, coloring, etc. And you ask, where does the early gray hair come from?
In addition, gray hair can manifest too early and unpredictably due to genetic inheritance. Pay attention at what age your mothers, fathers, grandparents began to turn gray.
– There are three, so to speak, graying scenarios. The first is age-related: you still can’t run away from old age. The second is premature: there can be a lot of reasons. The third is hereditary. Unfortunately, it is impossible to fight gray hair, it can only be painted over.
But it is quite possible to take care and minimize the risk of its early appearance. You need to eat properly and in a balanced way. Your diet should contain foods rich in chromium (this is wheat bread), calcium – any greens, milk, nuts, iodine – seaweed and fish, iron – buckwheat porridge, apples, lean beef, zinc – eggs, mushrooms. And, of course, fruits and vegetables! But don’t just rely on food and goodies.
Gray hair can be a wake-up call that something is wrong with your thyroid gland. Be sure to consult a trichologist, do an ultrasound of the thyroid gland. Also, spare your hair often. Do not overuse chemical stains and complex styling. It is better to eat them with masks, oils. Wash your hair with warm water – never hot or icy! Wear panamas in hot weather and hats in cold weather. Take care of your emotional state, because all stress will come back to haunt in the first place and, unfortunately, on your appearance. And, of course, down with all bad habits!
Important factor
Experts advise against pulling out gray hair like girls do. The fact is that when pulled out, the hair follicle is damaged and it loses its vitality. That is, new hairs in this place will not grow and bald spots may appear.
If there are not so many gray hairs on the head, then they can be carefully cut off with nail scissors, and if there are already enough of them, then feel free to sign up to the stylist.
