The baby is only three to five years old, and in his medical biography there are already more than a dozen of various ailments. It would seem that he had already been ill with everything that is possible, except for tropical fever. And that is only because it is impossible to pick it up in our area. Sound familiar? Unfortunately, yes, it is familiar to many.

– Imagine, and did not go to kindergarten for a week, again we sit at home with ARVI, – Ira in frustration adjusts the scarf on the throat of the hushed Timofey.
He really grows up as a sickly boy. Tima’s medical record looks like a two-volume collection of works by Alexandre Dumas. The same weighty.
– I do not understand why sores stick to him so? – in Ira’s voice immeasurable fatigue is heard.
Family and development psychologist, writer Katerina Murashova told Woman’s Day that the problem may be not only in the poor physical health of the baby. It’s just that there are children who constantly pick up some kind of ailment. Mothers rush with them to doctors, buy countless immunostimulants, but the sores do not stop. What could be the matter here?
It happens that a child has really poor health – chronic or even congenital diseases, genetic predisposition. But more often unfavorable living conditions are to blame for ailments. For example, dad smokes in the apartment, and grandmother keeps the windows open in cold weather.
What to do?
To create a healthy environment in the house, and to strengthen the immune system, remember about hardening, vitamins, proper nutrition and walking in the fresh air.
It’s hard to believe, but many children with thick hospital cards are patients who are being healed. Yes, some parents subconsciously need sick children. The situation is usually based on a real illness. For example, a child was born prematurely, he was nursed. The family’s life was subordinated to the struggle for the health of the baby. The efforts bore fruit – the child was cured or outgrown infantile ailments, but the habit of considering him painful remained. And the baby is protected: they are not allowed into the garden because of supposedly useless immunity, they are not enrolled in the sports section, because the child is weak. And … they are being treated! They examine and find at least something that could be “tweaked”. Just like in the book “Bury Me Behind the Skirting Board.”
The child receives a list of diagnoses, albeit not dangerous, but the mother continues to heroically devote her life to him.
What to do?
Stop looking for mythical diseases. Find a better hobby for yourself – a more enjoyable and rewarding activity.
And it also happens. Whenever mom is about to send the baby to her grandmother’s overnight stay, his temperature rises. Parents put the child to bed and leave at home. Or, after a healed leg injury, the baby continues to limp. Why does this happen? The kid realized that during his illness he was allowed a lot.
What to do?
Emphasize that being sick is bad. Do not use sweet syrups for treatment (the medicine is bitter), prohibit watching cartoons (the patient’s eyes get tired), do not allow meetings with friends (they lie in bed during treatment). This will create an incentive for your child to recover quickly. And no, this is not at all cruel.
There is also another phenomenon – the so-called school illnesses. For example, one child in the class has real gastritis, but five more complain of abdominal pain during class. Children do experience unpleasant symptoms, although during the examination they will not have gastritis. The disease is caused by psychological reasons. Pure psychosomatics.
What to do?
Hold an investigation. Does your child have a leg pain before going to the sports section? Does he need training? Do you know exactly what’s going on at the gym? If a student gets dizzy before every math test, maybe they just need a tutor? Approximately 80 percent of similar situations are resolved if the parents are observant.
