Why do women buy online checks from expensive boutiques?

Unusual transactions are increasingly being made on the Web – girls purchase checks from expensive stores from those who actually made a purchase there. Why are they doing that?

A strange story is gaining momentum on the Internet: the demand is growing … for buying checks from expensive boutiques. Who needs to pay from one and a half to three thousand for a piece of paper? Those who “cash out” it, having received the required amount from a lover.

Many people want to look beautiful, dress stylishly and allow themselves “little weaknesses”. But we achieve this in different ways. Whether the girl should work and who should pay for the purchases is an internal decision of each couple. But someone went further and came up with a simple and “nice” way to get money from a wealthy partner.

How do the purchasers use the checks bought on the open spaces of the marketplaces?

For example, a girl asks a man for a new handbag from a famous French designer, voicing its real cost, and the bill goes to tens and hundreds of thousands of rubles. On the Internet, she looks for a check on the bulletin board (an older one is cheaper, a brand new one is more expensive).

A check is sent to the generous lover as proof of purchase. The girl receives money for personal expenses. And a real buyer of some Louis Vuitton clutch receives a small amount for her check almost as a “cashback”.

But buyers and buyers of “luxury” checks are trying not only for the sake of partners. Sometimes they buy fake wardrobe items, and then the check serves as a “proof” – proof that it is the original. So a small square of paper helps its owner to rise in the eyes of others, provides the envious glances of others.

After all, the accusation of wearing a replica sounds humiliating for many, and often people choose not to “be”, but “appear”.

Interestingly, this scheme itself is a product of the consumer society that eco-activists, some supporters of the new ethic, and representatives of other movements calling for a conscious life speak with such criticism.

While expensive brands and other attributes of success are still highly valued in some sections of society, in others, the trend of conscious consumption, deliberate minimalism in things and the rejection of rampant shopping is gaining momentum. Which side will win we do not know, but we are sure that as long as there is luxury, there will be new ways to cash in on other people’s vanity.
