Why is there a burning smell after replacing the washing machine brushes? It would seem, on the contrary, the new parts should work without problems. But in practice, everything is not so smooth. If, in addition, the motor sparks, then it is urgent to find out the reasons for this behavior of the SMA.
Smell fried? This expression can be safely attributed to the washing machine while grinding the brushes. The fact is that the smell of burning during operation occurs due to the contact of graphite rods with the stator.
In commutator motors, current is supplied through the brushes, which, being in contact with the stator, set the motor in motion. At first, the rods should rub in a little, after which the work will go into the usual track and there will be no smell when washing.
But sparks under the CMA case can be due to improper installation of the elements or their wear. This eventually leads to a short circuit and complete failure of the engine (at best). Sometimes a breakdown can de-energize the whole house. If the parts on the washer were replaced by a service center master, then call him for a second inspection.
If the machine does not work and you need to restore it quickly, then the replacement of the brushes is carried out independently. This is a simple process if you know the sequence of actions. Do not delay repairs with such signs, otherwise worn parts will damage the motor, and this is a much more significant expense.
