Why do teeth deteriorate? Video
A very small percentage of people in our time can boast of completely healthy teeth by nature. Numerous fillings, crowns and even dentures began to be found in more and more people. Teeth deteriorate quickly, especially if this process is started at a young age.
Why do teeth deteriorate?
Perhaps the most important reason for tooth enamel damage is that people often neglect to clean their teeth properly and regularly. If you do not brush your teeth, bacteria in the oral cavity begin to multiply intensively, which contributes to the destruction of the protective layer. The enamel of the baby’s milk teeth is especially sensitive, it has no hardness and quickly gives up under the onslaught of bacteria and acids.
It is also important to know how to properly brush your teeth. The cleaning itself should last at least three minutes. It is worth starting from the bottom row, and then proceeding to the top one, do not forget about the language. From childhood, teach children to use double-sided brushes that actively sweep away plaque from the tongue and cheeks.
When cleaning plaque, the brush should be positioned at an angle of 45 degrees in relation to the teeth
The second reason for bad teeth can be improper diet. Energy drinks, coffee, alcohol, sucking candies, lollipops are especially harmful to teeth.
However, some foods can help strengthen tooth enamel, such as:
- carrot
- cucumbers
- apples, that is, fresh hard vegetables and fruits, also products with phosphorus content: cabbage, cheese, eggs
The use of berries, dairy products and herbs also favorably contributes to the protection of tooth enamel. But remember that after them it is still advisable to rinse the mouth with warm water.
The third reason that teeth lose their former strength is smoking. Smoking blackens the teeth, and tobacco disrupts blood circulation in the denture, which leads to periodontitis (loosening of the teeth, with possible loss of teeth).
In no case should you whiten your teeth at home, this can lead to serious problems with enamel, exacerbation of sensitivity, gum disease
They do not contribute to the strengthening of teeth and microtrauma that occur in the form of cracks in the enamel. A crack may appear from a strong load on the tooth (impact, too hard food), as well as from the love of substances that are not typical of the tooth (for example, opening metal plugs with teeth, gnawing wires during repair work, etc. rash actions).
Another reason is poor heredity. And in order to prevent dental diseases in a child, a mother needs to consume a lot of calcium, minerals and nutrients during pregnancy and lactation.
A sedentary lifestyle, work in heavy production, curvature of posture can also cause damaged tooth enamel.
You can strengthen your teeth in different ways, here are a few of them:
- daily chewing of bee propolis
- consumption of natural dairy products
- rinsing your mouth with tea tree oil or walnut shell solution
- proper balanced nutrition
- timely teeth cleaning
- using quality toothpaste
Rinse solution: pour 100 g of crushed walnut shells with boiling water, let it brew in a sealed container for 4 hours, then rinse your mouth with the solution for at least a minute
So, there are many reasons why teeth deteriorate. However, if you treat your health carefully and carefully, observing oral hygiene, combining it with proper nutrition and a timely visit to the dentist, you can forget about these problems.
