Why do I skate

There are a few things that psychologists recommend doing in order not to age. One of them is to start doing things that you don’t like. Skates in my case are just from this series.

As a child, of course, I rode them. Right across the wide yard, which by itself turned into a solid skating rink. Then this enthusiasm passed along with the frost. Sport in general touched my life on a tangent, which I, as a modern person, am destined to regret.

However, a few years ago I was given skates. To my surprise, the skill of sliding was not lost. Which confirmed my first exit on the ice. The same exit made me think about whether I should return to big sport.

The point is this. I usually leave the house with a trash bag, which I throw out on the way. Unfortunately, the skate bag suffered the same fate, as muscle memory extends not only to the legs, but also to the arms. I only found this out at the rink. I spent some time mournfully contemplating the woolen socks. Then she got into the car and returned home, where, to the surprise of her neighbor, she easily found a bag of skates in the trash can.

Such a conceptual beginning would upset some, but I was unspeakably cheered up, and I spent the rest of the bright day at the Young Pioneers stadium in a diner that served four types of pancakes.

The next time I pressed the bag of skates to my stomach and went to Sokolniki. There you can ride along the long circular paths and chat with your girlfriend. It was something like a child skating on the uncleaned sidewalks of a military camp, after which I wanted to hang my skates in the corridor on a nail and sit down at the cartoons.

While you are rolling, there is a very high probability of making a nice acquaintance, babysitting an unknown child, or sipping mulled wine from someone else’s glass.

But when, for contrast, we went to Gorky Park, they finally explained to us what a real holiday is and what skates are for a person. He needs skates to smoothly drive into a coffee shop, hamburger, pizzeria, which inevitably frame your icy route, like marking the capital of the Moscow principality.

At this rink than anywhere else you feel like a part of a healthy whole, and with skates – part of the square. While you katishsya, very likely in this very nice to have a general familiarity, or to spend babysitter unknown child, or a sip of mulled wine from someone else’s cup.

The most dramatic ride, however, happened in the Hermitage Garden, where you just spin around in one place, like little men in a music box.

On the eve of March XNUMX We decided to have a combined bachelorette party. With skating and homemade salads. They took the salads with them and went out onto the ice: with backpacks, under the arm. One-two-three, one… But soon one of us (beetroot salad with prunes) folded in half and sat down on the ice. Turned out to be a broken arm. Oh! Here’s your bachelorette party!

All day long, our gallant escort, having dumped the skates in the trunks, drove around to the emergency rooms. We spent the evening with this poor fellow, who confessed that she had never been as happy as today. Firstly, everyone finally came to her (the edge of Moscow), the day, again, was dedicated exclusively to her. And then, she would have waited for such an abundance of salads until the next New Year. And so…

In short, no matter how you look at it, skates bring only joy, some health, and especially sentimental ones – love for their native nature in the form of our exceptional climate. Enjoy!
