– The current data from the USA and Great Britain indicate that one out of 100 vaccinated people suffers from the disease – said the expert. – We vaccinate so that 100 percent of every 99 vaccinated people are protected. By vaccinating as many people as possible, we try to reduce the number of new infections to a minimum.
Dr. Grzesiowski emphasized that no vaccines provide 100% protection against infection, but the risk of death is close to zero.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, 730 people who took two doses of the vaccine died of COVID-19. Why is this happening?
– We don’t quite know who it was. The data is raw, raw. It could be that they were elderly, sick people. They may be less responsive to vaccination – explained the immunologist.
The doctor also reminded that the effectiveness of the vaccine varies between age groups.
– We must not forget about protective measures. I remind you – apart from vaccination, you must have a mask in closed rooms – appealed Grzesiowski.
