Why are married women fatter than unmarried women?

As Australian scientists have found out, married women weigh an average of one and a half kg heavier than free girls. And if there is also a child in the marriage, then the happy mother of the family recovers by 3,3 kg more.

The experiment lasted for 10 years, 6 thousand women aged 18 to 23 took part in it. From time to time, the girls talked about their daily habits: level of physical activity, diet, free time, etc.

A single and childless woman weighing 63 kg over ten years gained about 4 kg, and her married peer gained 5,6 kg. The presence of a child guaranteed 7,4 extra pounds.

The reason for such a significant difference is the unhealthy diet of men, to which themselves and their wives accustom themselves and their wives during marriage. In addition, marriage for many women means an inactive lifestyle.

All these indicators, according to scientists, lead to the disease of the century – obesity, which is now suffering from a huge number of people. In addition, the obesity of the mother also negatively affects the child: according to forecasts, in the developed countries in the next 5 years, 10% of boys and 9% of girls of preschool age will suffer from obesity.

The story of 19-year-old Briton Melissa Jones shocked many. The girl, who had been obese for many years, decided to undergo an operation to reduce the stomach. The problems that this procedure entailed practically ruined the girl’s life.
