The coronavirus spread rapidly around the world. The virus can be easily infected if the top-down recommendations of organizations such as WHO are not followed. Check who should be especially careful.

How can you catch the coronavirus?

You can get infected with the coronavirus by airborne droplets. This means that you can get infected directly from a sick person, as well as indirectly by touching surfaces contaminated with coronavirus.

In the case of a sick person, the coronavirus leaves the body with bits of secretion when they sneeze or cough. Remember, however, that the coronavirus is also found, for example, in saliva. For this reason, even if the infection is asymptomatic, a person sick with COVID-19 can continue to infect without having symptoms.

Every person is at risk of contracting the coronavirus, but the elderly, people with reduced immunity, and those who already have other comorbidities should be especially careful.

Important!

People with diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and neurological disorders should especially watch out for the coronavirus. It is much easier for these people to develop severe forms of the disease and even to die.

It is also worth emphasizing that the disease among children is quite rare. Moreover, young people experience much easier COVID-19 infection.

Older people should therefore avoid public places and rather stay at home. Therefore, the help of the closest family in everyday shopping will be invaluable. It is also worth stocking up on medications taken on a permanent basis. Today, all you need to do is call the clinic and contact your GP who will issue an e-prescription. How to prevent COVID-19?

COVID-19 prophylaxis is very simple:

  1. wash your hands – wash your hands often and thoroughly with soap and water, and if you are unable to do so, disinfect them with special alcohol-based agents (minimum 70%). This is the easiest way to reduce the risk of getting sick;
  2. do not touch the eyes, mouth and nose – the coronavirus is on various surfaces, so it is easy to transfer it just by touching the eyes, nose or mouth;
  3. wash and disinfect the surfaces you touch – carefully wash and disinfect the surfaces you touch, including desks, handrails, door handles;
  4. Frequently disinfect your phone and set it aside when eating – a cell phone is a source of many different pathogens. By disinfecting the phone, we can easily reduce the risk of getting COVID-19;
  5. remember to keep a distance of at least 1-2 meters from the interlocutor;
  6. cover your face with your elbow while sneezing and coughing – this will prevent the spread of the coronavirus;
  7. take care of immunity – eat healthy, hydrate the body, avoid processed products, alcohol and cigarettes;
  8. learn about the coronavirus in confirmed sources.
