Age, you say? Age is just a number. Not even in my head – in my passport. Everyone has the opportunity and the right not to get hung up on numbers.
Everyone makes his own life what he wants. You can even feel like an elderly aunt at the age of 30. And you can even at 50 … However, read the answers of those who are 50 already. Woman’s Day prepared the following questions for them:
1. What do you do to look so beautiful?
2. What new things have you learned after 50?
3. Does your life experience include difficulties?
4. What is life like?
Irina Gorbulevich, head of the chain of fashion accessories salons “Ivolga”, Chelyabinsk
- I have been practicing choreography for many years, which has significant health benefits, both physical and mental. Choreography develops not only correct posture and a beautiful gait, but also creativity and taste. This is all necessary in my main job. In general, my work and hobbies are very closely intertwined. Through fashion projects, for example, “Dress of the City”, I promote my business. But I myself, as a model, participate in fashion shows at the Kirovka Fashion Parade, showing clothes and accessories on the catwalk. So I mastered the topic of fashion and modeling, the art of looking beautiful both in theory and in practice.
- Like any business, a chain of fashion accessories salons requires daily attention and care. Education and self-education in non-stop mode with management seminars and marketing webinars has not been canceled. It is also necessary to keep track of fashion trends, to select raisins in new collections every season. So running a “beautiful” business trains the brain as much as ballet trains the body.
- Difficulties? No, I have not heard.
- I share the opinion of the great Mozart: “Life is a smile, even if tears flow from your eyes.”
Marina Sukhanova, fundraiser of the Svetlana image club, Chelyabinsk
- If you want to stay young, develop and don’t stop. Degradation will inevitably cover you as soon as you stop doing and learning new things. Endlessly repeating in habits, tastes, role models – you cease to be young. And yes, old, or rather outdated, you can look both at 40 and at 30. Therefore, for reading, I always prefer a new book, for vacation – a new country, and for lunch – a new restaurant. Endlessly repeating the past? No, this is not for me, because life is too short.
- At 50 I enrolled in a regular children’s music school, a piano class. I started taking lessons in Russian billiards. Launched the first jewelry collection. Developed author’s seminars on style and image in the Svetlana image club. I also do fitness and choreography three times a week, which means that every Monday I master a new twisted composition on the steps, on Wednesday – boxing, and on Friday – hip-hop. And also yoga, pilates, latina and zumba. And this is in a group where the rest of the girls are 10 and 15 years younger than me. Reaching out for the young and the young is another recipe for fighting Alzheimer’s .
Life becomes more interesting every year
- The biggest challenge for me is overcoming my own laziness. And life experience is a very useful baggage. This is a huge advantage over those who do not have it. Only you need to use it to solve new problems. Life becomes more interesting every year.
- In my environment there are more and more women 50+, beautiful, successful, energetic and happy. And the thought that our generation is the first to be given an extra 20 years of active life warms and soothes. We are the “new young”.
Alfiya Khusnutdinova, Financial Director of the Optimum Group of Companies
- What do I do to look great? I try not to look in the mirror. But seriously, the recipes are known, simple and effective at the same time: I go for a massage, I regularly visit a beautician, I go in for sports. Paradoxical as it may sound, in order for the head to be in order, the body needs to be trained.
To keep the head in order, you need to train the body
- In my profession, in order to keep up with the times and develop my own competencies, I have to constantly engage in self-education in the field of finance, management, legislation. For people of intellectual labor, learning new things is a key success factor. At least at 20, at least at 50 years old. By the way, doctors have proven that active brain activity has a rejuvenating effect on the entire body. The more convolutions in the brain, the less wrinkles on the face!
- There are many difficulties. But, overcoming them, you become a different, internally strong person. Conclusion: difficulties make you better!
- Life is different.
Olga Chislova, psychologist, dollmaker, puppet therapist, Chelyabinsk
- Yes, to be honest – nothing special, due to extraordinary laziness. I live, I enjoy life, I travel a lot, I get to know the world in all its manifestations, I try to treat everything positively. All my activities were associated with beauty, specifically with female beauty – it turns out, I apply knowledge to myself.
- I am constantly learning something, trying something new and non-standard. Recently, for example, I studied at three institutes at once to become a psychologist. It has been a year and a half since I have fulfilled my old dream and learned to sew dolls. Now this hobby has become my main activity, I sew to order, and my dolls already live in different parts of our country and abroad. Recently, a friend was felting a very beautiful stole, accidentally stumbled upon a training course on felting from felt and fell ill with this topic. I signed up for a master class and tried to dump the beret and fabric on the dress for the doll, and then the stole on natural silk. My friend really liked it. I try to work with baked plastic, I myself make various accessories (shoes, bags, etc.) for dolls, since it is not always possible to buy what you need. Now I have a new dream – I want to start sewing toys and dolls using the “primitive” technique. And the most important dream is to travel independently … In general, ideas and pans, as always, a carriage and a small cart.
- I’ve had enough difficulties in my life. I learned to see them not as punishment, but as a lesson and development. Otherwise life would be insipid and boring. The Thais have this proverb: “If you have no problems, buy them for any money.” And while you are looking for a way out, you grow and develop, you learn. If the way out turns out to be non-standard, you push your boundaries and horizons.
- For me, life is a diamond, beautiful, bright, multifaceted, and the more facets (revealed talents and hobbies), the more opportunities a person has. We ourselves are the architects of our own happiness, and if you look at the world with joy and love, then the world responds in the same way. Therefore, life is beautiful and amazing!
Mila Tumarkina, director of the Armada Outdoor group of companies, co-founder of the South Ural Cigar Club
- Every morning before meals I take Makropulos remedy (just kidding). But seriously, I enjoy life every day. After all, the negative goes to destruction, and not to creation. I don’t watch TV, I read books, take care of myself, decorate myself, decorate my apartment, draw positive and inspiration from this.
- The realization that life does not end at 30, 50, or even 90! My mother is 89 years old, she was and remains a role model. Exercise every morning! She prepares and cleans the house herself. Mom is always with hair and manicure. Even in the hospital, to my question “What can I bring you?” answers: “Cosmetics!”. Her motto is “Life is too short to drink bad wine!”
- I didn’t have a saucer with a blue border, and no one gave me the key to the apartment where the money was. I had to achieve everything on my own. Difficulties? Were. Obstacles? Overcame. Failure? I got up, dusted myself off and … forward! Mom taught: “Everyone loves the winners! Losers are of no interest to anyone. “
- But what can I say, life is beautiful and amazing!
Olga Rogozhkina, cosmetologist, Chelyabinsk
- As a specialist in the field of cosmetology, I can confirm the opinion of my colleagues: appearance is not only genetics, but also an active lifestyle, proper nutrition and timely cosmetic procedures that slow down the aging process. I have been trying to adhere to this formula for many years. I also believe that a positive emotional attitude that is created in communication with family and friends, on trips around the world, in contemplation of beauty in art, in outdoor recreation also gives an impulse to youth.
- I recently joined the club “for those who are over 50”, and my life has not changed dramatically. I continue to study, because doctors study all their lives. In my specialty there are constantly new methods, interesting teachers, exhibitions and conferences. It’s nice to be a highly qualified specialist and to have in your hands the “tools” that help make people younger and happier.
appearance is not only genetics, but also an active lifestyle
- Probably, there is no experience without difficulties. It is important to develop in the course of life an attitude towards them, to form what is called “character”. I have been in sports since childhood, and there the hardening is very strong. So difficulties are a surmountable category. By the way, like many book readers, folk sayings on this topic are close to me: “The morning is wiser than the evening,” “Don’t cut it off,” “Everything will change,” etc.
- Life when I want tomorrow to come! To start a New Day, Get new emotions and sensations! And then and after Tomorrow, etc. But if you do not want this, then this is not life, but “the existence of protein bodies” … Rzhunimagu!
Natalya Tuchkova, editor-in-chief of SUSU TV channel, brand manager of the GallaDance Riverside club
- Today, due to its workload (and to my shame) – nothing. I try to follow the figure while doing it at home. Basically, I walk without using transport. Weather permitting and distance. It seems to me that a woman is first of all decorated with a smile, a positive attitude and a good mood. And also rest and sleep. I am convinced that a woman of 50 simply does not have the right to bloom and put an end to her appearance. After all, we are still so young!
- After 50 I learned to be more forgiving to people, to situations. I understand: everyone has the right to make mistakes. Including me. I learned to enjoy every little thing and every day. I learned to live today and now, and not wait for “tomorrow.” And if literally, then a lot really had to learn. Since I have a second job. Difficult but interesting. After all, today, if you stand still and do not develop, then you will simply fall out of the cage. New technologies, new knowledge … There is simply nothing without it.
- Everybody always has difficulties in life. And I have difficult moments and situations behind me. And the death of loved ones, and a change of job, and moving to another city. But the most important thing is how you get out of it. I live by the principle “Never give up and never give up!” There is always a way out, whatever the circumstances. The main thing is to believe in yourself and that everything will work out.
live today and now – do not wait for “tomorrow”
- Life is cool! Diverse and interesting! Sometimes I even feel embarrassed that in my 50s I want so much and everything is so interesting! I am happy. I say this sincerely. I have a favorite job (or rather, two). It’s not for nothing that they say that when a hobby becomes a job, it’s great. I have wonderful daughters, sons-in-law, grandchildren. I have wonderful, time-tested girlfriends. In general, I am lucky in my life to have good people.
Svetlana Klimenko, President of the Svetlana Image Club, Chelyabinsk
- If your first ballet lesson starts at 7:45 am on Monday and the last one ends at 18:30 pm on Friday, you are guaranteed to look good at any age. Choreography is a great tool for beauty and health. No wonder this is the most demanded service in the Svetlana image club. And among 50-year-olds and among 5-year-olds. Of course, no one canceled the beautician, massage therapist, make-up artist, hairdresser and manicurist. Before offering my favorite clients of the club a new service, I check all the procedures and the hands of the masters on myself. This also helps to always be fully armed. In this sense, of course, I was lucky. The entire beauty industry is non-stop!
- The main thing I learned after 50 is to be a grandmother. With my grandson Nikita, I had to master football and Lego from scratch, learn to distinguish carnivorous dinosaurs from herbivores, understand transformers and much more. Communication with your grandson is a powerful rejuvenating factor. I don’t even walk around the apartment now, but run!
- Everyone has difficulties. Each new project of the Svetlana image-club – be it City Dress, Kirovka Fashion Parade or Supermodel competition – is a new challenge and new problems. But when the next morning after the next large-scale event you wake up and realize that you did it, that a heavy burden has fallen from your shoulders … The body experiences such euphoria, such a state of happiness that wings grow behind its back. And very soon, new thoughts and plans for a new project are slowly emerging in my head.
- What is life like? I believe that I have not yet matured to answer this philosophical question. I’ll live to be 100 years old, then ask.
Lyudmila Birman, private-consultant, Chelyabinsk
- I enjoy life from the early morning! And I care about the purity of my thoughts and body.
- Enjoy freedom, appreciate your loved ones and friends, be natural, love yourself, discover new perspectives, fearlessly take on exciting projects!
- It includes a lot of work: brains, souls and bodies!
- Life is an amazingly exciting and informative thing, fill it with content and do not be tormented by questions about age.
Elena Borisova, editor-in-chief of the Antenna-Telesem magazine in Chelyabinsk, Wday.ru in Chelyabinsk
- It’s very simple: you have to deal with yourself! Do not wave your hand at yourself: “A-ah, and so it will do.” And then the skin is smooth, and the hairstyle is fashionable, and the figure is slender, and you can sit on the twine! Personally, I have never in my life had such a stretch that rr-times – and twine. But after 50 I somehow suddenly decided: why not? Well, actually, she sat down. Thank you yoga. Thanks to the gym. Thank you for the confidence that anything is possible, if you want to, believe and begin to implement.
everything is possible: the main thing is to want, believe and do
- Oh, it’s just fireworks! I have finally decided to publish the books I have written – thanks to the publishing systems Ridero – for two already. Send me congratulatory rays of kindness, or better yet, read. They can be found on “Liters” – “Middle-aged Ballerina” (about how you managed to accept your age, which is “after 50”) and “Goodbye, friend, or Seven men.” I have already made the second booklet with pictures, with illustrations made by myself. For this I learned to draw! Thanks to the online art school of Veronica Kalacheva. When the first successes in drawing, in sketching appeared, one friend from my age group said: “How great, Lena! And what a pity that it started so late! ” You can choke on this place – when you start. But now I get pleasure from drawing and a little later the mastered lettering. When I paint, I only think that I am painting – a wonderful meditation. And the last hobby of the new ones is studying vocals.
- What was, what was – it will not seem little. Overcoming difficulties is transformed into life experience and, as it turns out, into wisdom – to accept life as it comes.
- Tragicomic.
