Who are the people at risk for tachycardia?
L’age increases the risk of tachycardia. As the heart ages, it becomes more fragile and is more likely to function less well. People who have relatives with tachycardia have a higher risk of developing this disease in turn.
People with heart disease (heart muscle, heart valves), congenital heart disease, angina, or even a heart attack are also at greater risk of tachycardia episodes.
