Belaya Skala is a premium wheat beer produced by PBK Krym. The enterprise is located in the city of Simferopol and supplies the entire peninsula with soft drinks. The brand is named after the landmark of the region – the White Rock, consisting of limestone. Despite its relative youth, the brand has already received high awards at Russian industry competitions.

Historical information

The brewery was built in the capital of Crimea in 1982 to replace the old plant, which had already exhausted its resource. Czech specialists took part in the design of the buildings. In 1991, the plant was privatized and named PBK Krym JSC. The joint-stock company united small production facilities located along the entire southern coast of Crimea: in Kerch, Yalta, Evpatoria and Feodosia.

In 1998, SUN Interbrew received a controlling stake. At the same time, a complete technical reconstruction of the workshops took place – the company invested about $ 10 million in equipment. After a series of changes in ownership, the plant passed to an entrepreneur from Feodosia, Valery Zubok. The company produces both classic types of beer and original varieties of caramel, roasted and wheat malt.

Beer “White Rock” first appeared in 2016. The original recipe was developed by the plant’s specialists. The drink is brewed from a mixture of selected barley and wheat malt, and coriander grains are added for flavor. The composition contains unfiltered yeast, which gives the beer a slightly hazy color.

  2. “White Rock” is labeled as a beer drink due to the presence of natural coriander in the composition, which does not meet the requirements of GOST, which apply to beer.
